Vehicle Detail

1969 Chrysler Newport Convertible. This car is solid and has been garage kept most of it's life. The mileage reflects the fact that it spent most of it's life in Florida and New Hampshire. The car was last registered in New York. I have the New York title. In Rhode Island, you do not need a title for vehicles older than 2001. I have replaced the whole rear end assembly eliminating any driveline noise. I went through the brake system after I did the rear end. I replaced the carb with a rebuilt one and was planning on adjusting it after I replaced the spark plugs. I have new spark plugs, new belts and a lower radiator hose for the car. . This car is tight and doesn't take on any water inside. There are a few spots on the rocker panels that should be an easy repair. The tires have only a few hundred miles on them. When I got the car, the front bumper was rusty mainly on the top section and the only one I could find at the time was one from a 1970 Chrysler 300. It was a package deal so the grille came with it. The headlight motor doesn't work so you have to manually open and close them. The rear tail lights have been converted to 69 300 lights and makes the car prettier. I have the two pieces of trim that are missing on the car. I removed them when I installed the full wheel moldings. The rear air shocks work but have a slow leak. All the glass in the car is very nice. The AM radio doesn't work and someone installed the wrong antenna and I could not get it to sit right so instead of having a sloppy and loose antenna, I removed it. The fuel sending unit works but needs the float replaced. I have one and will install it for the buyer if they want me to. The top goes down but you need two people to put it up because it needs the piston on the right side. I have the jack and spare for the car. I removed everything from the trunk for the pictures. I have the original wheelcovers if the buyer wants them. I have repaired the optional cornering lamps and installed LED bulbs. I am motivated to sell this car within 2 days of listing it so throw in your best offer. This car is being sold locally giving me the right to end the listing at any point or if I decide to keep it for myself. This car runs and drives nice. If you really like this car, you should throw me an offer. You might be surprised on the amount I have on the automatic setting for my floor to ceiling offer. Sold as is as seen with no warranty. Ask any questions and I will reply as soon as I can. There is no time limit as to when the car has to be picked up and will keep the car insured until the buyer gets it to your destination. I will be posting more pictures of the interior tomorrow unless it gets sold. Thank you for looking. ><> GOD BLESS AMERICA! <><
