'ONE SWEET CAR' To All: Thank you for viewing this listing on my awesome Corvette. I'm sad to see this car go due to personal reasons, but at the same time this is what needs to be done. Whoever gets this Corvette will be one happy and lucky person. They only made so many of these in 1997 and this one is black on black, has a glass top and power passenger seat. In my opinion, it's a hard to find car. It's a gem. It also has a 12 disc CD changer in the back. However, recently it seems to be jamming up. This is one of two known issues the car has. But it does have it's original factory stereo: radio, cassette, 12 disc changer in the back. The second issue is the rear air check valve will need to be replaced or cleaned. It's hard to get to; however, I've read you can spray some throttle body cleaner in there and shoot some compressed air in there to open up the valve. Currently the car does not have an emissions test in Illinois. This is a very common problem. The code the Corvette gives is the P1416 code and also there are several You Tube videos to help you solve the problem. The air check valve in the front has been replaced. The car is a gem though. It fires up so nice. All of the spark plugs have been replaced recently. Additionally I've had a Mobil 1 Synthetic oil and filter change done recently. Also, recently I put on 1 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Zero Pressure tire on the front driver side, the rest are Goodyear F1 run flats with a lot of tread left on them. The Michelin tire has a regular stem in place and not a tire pressure sensor. I bought this car 15 years ago, with 79,950 miles on it. Currently is has 109,000 miles on it. My oldest son is ten years old and in the past 10 years I've only driven it 600 miles per year. It's been well maintained as it originally had an extended warranty on it when I bought it. Both fuel tank sending units were replaced as was the transmission body valve. Both are expensive and were covered under the warranty. More good news, all rotors on the car are GM rotors (replaced recently) and there is ceramic brake pads on there as well. Both belts and the belt tensioner have been replaced. The cooling system has recently been serviced too. A new battery has been installed in the last few years. It comes with one key and the owner's manual is in mint condition (in original leather like case). Title is clear. I took it around the block last week. It sounds great. It's shifts so smooth. There's a lot of power and fun to be had. I reserve the right to edit this listing and/or to end this listing for any reason. This is a good description of the car. Car is sold as is. Good luck to all. Somebody is going to bid on and win/purchase a sweet car. Or use the buy it now feature! Please email me with any questions or things I did not cover. Thank you, Mike
