1974 VOLKSWAGEN "THING if you are searching for a fun car then look no further!!!! step back in time ....................depending on where you were in 1974 , the second year of the thing,,,,,,,,,, you will remember fondly of wanting one, I know I did. I was a sophomore in high school when they came out, and far out of my reach but I always had a soft spot in my heart for the little Thing!!!! this particular thing was sold at Barrett Jackson in 2010 and went to Texas, there it came back to WV a few years ago to a doctor who bought it for his son but the son did not want to be seen in the "thing''!!!!! it has been garaged and just needed a little sprucing up to get it back on the road, some brake work, clean the gas tank, some new professional paint and here it is!!!!! Ready to have fun!!! You will get the looks and compliments like you have never seen once you drive the thing around a little, since they were imported for only 2 years, they are kind of scarce and nice ones even more so. This is being listed as a great driver quality Thing!!! I don't proclaim that it is a concours showpiece but it could win at any car show on Saturday night in the local arena!!!! its not perfect but darn nice, it has no rust showing but over the years I am sure its had a few repairs but it appears to have had no major collisions as the front and rear unibody are very straight. it runs and drives as good as when new!!! the engine was documented with Barrett Jackson 400 miles ago as having been rebuilt, and its tight and sounds tight and is powerful, so that's probably true, I just can't prove this brakes are great, all lights work, even the emergency flashers!!! so if you are wanting a nice little car to enjoy and have a blast with, this is your car for peanuts!!!!! it will always be worth what you pay as they are going up in value as the years roll by. please call 304 719 2657 to discuss a buy it now... thanks for looking !!!!
