This 2005 Audi S4 Avant is equipped with a 6-speed manual and is powered by a 340 HP 4.2-liter DOHC V8. The car is finished in black with a black leather interior with a total 157k miles. Modifications include 19″ RS4 replica double-spoke alloy wheels, H&R coilovers, Raxles CVs front and rear, heavy duty control arms, Fast Intentions stainless steel exhaust, and aftermarket engine, transmission and differential mounts. This S4 Avant is offered with a Carfax Vehicle History Report, partial service records back to 2009, a clean Louisiana title in the owner’s name and various spare parts. Black paint is thought to be original except for the driver-side front fender which was repaired and repainted following a parking lot accident. There are some paint chips on the nose and rear fenders, small spots of corrosion at the front of the hood, rear fender lips, and bottom of driver’s door. There are also some sun fade spots on the roof and top of wheel arches. Exterior modifications include tinted windows and taillights, and an aftermarket front spoiler. Black Recaro leather seats show normal wear for the age including some creasing and wear on the driver’s outer bolster and some creasing on the passenger’s side outer bolster. The headliner also has a sagging at the rear. Interior updates include RS4 aluminum pedals, and 3M carbon fiber vinyl wrap to the dash, doors, and shifter surround. The cargo area retains its stock cargo net, and the well beneath holds an 18″ Audi 6-spoke alloy spare, complete factory tool kit and factory jack. Foot wells have all-weather mats with Audi-logos up front. This 4.2L DOHC SEFI V8 features two-stage variable intake valve timing and was rated at 340 hp when new. The valve cover gasket and half-moon seals were refreshed in late 2015, new starter was installed in October 2016, oil check valves, oil spray jets and associated gaskets and seals were replaced in November 2016. There currently are no know engine leaks. The engine is believed to have the original timing chains and guides. In the cold start videos provided there is no chain rattle after 24 hours, but chain rattle is present after sting for approximately one month. The oil-level sensor is inoperative due to a damaged cable. The 6-speed manual transmission is in working condition, received a recent fluid flush, but has some vibration diagnosed as a flywheel requiring replacement. The driver-side headlight leveling motor needs replacing as well. The ABS warning light is currently on, due to a faulty speed sensor on passenger side rear wheel, replacement ABS sensor is included but not installed. A January 2017 open recall was issued for a Takata airbag and is still outstanding.
