Original paint!! 1974 Honda CB450 Frame Number: CB450 - 7008236 Engine Number: CB450E - 7008248 Honda's original CB450 KO 'Black Bomber', a very sporting ohc twin from a maker, hitherto, of lightweights, came as a revelation in 1965. Honda developed the 450cc middleweight range in to the mid 1970s before introduction of the CB500T in 1975. Featuring a twin-cylinder dohc motor, the deliberately ‘classic’ styling evoked memories of British bikes of the 1950s. The CB450 achieved a top speed of approximately 100mph and returned over 50 miles per gallon overall with excellent reliability. Built in September of 1973, this last year CB450 shows a believed-to-be original 19,000 miles from new and was lovingly owned by just a single enthusiast. Apart from the tires and seat cover, the bike is offered in perfectly original condition. It was recently the subject of a full re-commissioning and service and as a result, it starts easily, idles and runs well, and with some attention given to the brakes, it stops just as well. The bike represents an opportunity to own a true classic with the performance and reliability of a Honda.
