Vehicle Detail

This is one nice unrestored 1968 Mustang that was pampered by the original owner from new until 2016. I am the third owner of the car and it is well documented with 48,500 original miles. I have relisted it and priced it to sell. The car still wears most of its original factory applied Royal Maroon paint and it still looks very nice all the way around. The interior appears to be completely original as well and is in like new condition. The original carpet still looks great, the dash is excellent, the seats are near perfect with no separations or tears. The car runs, drives and stops the way you would want it to. I am a long time collector of unrestored original survivor cars, and this is a nice one. Here is the story - the car was originally purchased on March 11, 1968 by Walter Klemen from Kelly Motors in Allentown, PA. He babied the car and in early 2016 sold it to his neighbor who had admired the car for many years. The second owner proceeded to do the things one would need to do to a car that has been in storage, like all new brakes with hoses and master cylinder, radiator, gas tank, tune up as well as some other details. I purchased the car in mid 2017, and I added the correct 6.95 x 14 tires. The spare is the factory original, still in the trunk. I have copies of the original title, the second title and then transferring ownership to me, showing I am the third owner and the mileage at 47,900 when I purchased it. The words time capsule get used a lot in the hobby, however this car really is one. Look at the photo of the factory "paint OK" yellow stamp that is on the inside edge of the front fender. You can be proud to drive or show this car. It is equipped with the 200 c.i.d. 6 cylinder, 3 speed, hood mounted directional lights, full wheel covers and a pushbutton AM radio. The original owner added an 8 track player that sits under the dash. He also added a manual choke and the little mud flaps. The car is very solid all the way around and underneath. The ONLY rust I have found on the car is a small spot at the bottom of the rear quarter on the driver's side, of which I have attached a photo. It is about 1.5 inches long. Aside from that, I would call the car rust free. The floors, rockers, shock towers, everywhere else I do not see any rust at all. As nice of a 1968 Mustang body you will likely ever find. The paint is mostly original with some areas on the sides that appear to have been fogged in due to scratches or chips. It really looks great and has plenty of shine. This car really needs very little, if anything. It's really a good one. I am a long time car collector and Ebayer. Please look at my 18 years of feedback. I require a $500 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours after the end of the auction and the balance via bank wire or cash in person. Shipping is at the buyer's expense. The car is being offered on an as is where is basis with no warranties or guarantees express, written or implied. I am located in northern New Jersey, I welcome you to look at the car in person prior to the end of the auction and you can feel free to call me with questions 201-406-4423.
