Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a 1972 Plymouth Duster 340 automatic manual steering with manual 4 wheel wilwood disc brakes. The color of the car is Plum CRAZY PURPLE and was a factory offered Mopar color back in the day.The car has less than 300 miles on the build. The car has always been in dry storage and covered, there is no Rust any where on the car.I did do most of assembly of the car. I finished the car to be a Pro Street Car.The car is border line drag/street car,It's a mix of the two.I do mix the fuel with 93 octane and 110 sunoco race fuel.I've never ran it any other way.It You may be able to run just straight pump gas,but I have never tried it,I have always mixed 10 gallons of 93 with 5 gallons of 110 sunoco race fuel. The stock gas cap is there just for looks,You have to raise the trunk lid to put the fuel in the fuel cell. The engine is a COMPLETELY rebuilt 340 with 72 cc MOPAR W2 cylinder heads adjustable rockers assembly, the heads have been studded to the block, its built to run strong.and has a solid lift camshaft.30 over forged dome pistons.hardened valve seats.850 Holley double pump carbeurator with a&n lines fittings and an inline fuel pressure gauge.I bought the Engine already built and ready to drop in never fired up before, and this is all I know about the Engine.(I do not have any more specs or specifics about the engine.) It has braided fuel lines.k&n air filter, Holley aluminum intake manifold. holley electric fuel pump and a 20 gallon fuel cell in the trunk. The engine has also been bored out 30 and balanced has a steel crank fluid damper balancer deep sump Milodon oil pan with a high volume race oil pump. Mopar race ignition custom built distributor with MSD wires.adjustable rpm limiter ignition box. autolite racing spark plugs. Moroso electric water pump. flexlite electric fans Big northern 3 row radiator. The vehicle does not run hot, it runs cool, around 185/190 degress. The oil pressure stays between 65 and 90 psi. Special W2 head only TTI headers brand new custom bent exhaust with Magna flow mufflers.the transmission is a brand new 727 from TCI with a 3000 stall converter and the transmission is built to handle 750 hp.has cable control kick down. it can be shifted manually or just leave it in drive. The shifter is a factory type shifter, the transmission shifts perfect and firm. the drive shaft is custom made with heavy duty u joints.the rear end is a DANA with 373 possi traction, new gears and bearings and strange engineering axles. The rear tires are Hoosier pro street 31 x 16.50 15. The front tires are Mickey Thompson 26 x 6.00 15 the wheels are Weld racing aluminum wheels. The car has the leaf springs with adjustable ladder bar set up. all The front suspension has been completely rebuilt, tie rods ball joints,Flaming river manual steering box. bushings, shocks etc, all is new or rebuilt. battery is a brand new interstate battery and is located in the trunk. The gauges are all auto meter and they all work.including the gas gauge. The interior has all been redone and is nice bucket seats with Pentastars custom stiched in the head rest. and dash pad been recovered and looks awesome. There is a couple of holes that have been drilled into the metal part of the dash. The headliner and carpet is new. the door panels are new as well/arm rest, seat belts..all of it is nice.am/fm cd player with 4 speakers, the windshield and windshield gasket are new. all of the glass is good but does have some scuffing.all of door and window seals are new,the door glass run gaskets and glass sweep seals are new.The chrome door handles are new. The bumpers are new. the car is all steel and has all the factory type glass. The car started out as being very solid all of the body and frame work has been professionally done. The frame has been tied/ full frame full tubbed, back halfed..all of the under hood wiring is new.The Shark tooth grille has a few chips/ dings but its still pretty nice. All of the metal/fab work on this car Has been professionally done.there is No back seat, but there is plenty of room and one could be custom made.I would also like to note that due to the fact that this car has been tubbed, having wider tires and by having no back seat, there is a significant amount of road noise / driveline noise inside the vehicle,It is not deafing or anything like that, and is more noticable at highway speeds of 65 or higher.Having a rear seat and possibly adding more insulation/sound deading material would help with this issue, and it is something I plan to address if I keep the vehicle.I am just trying to be honest and disclose everything,It may not even be an issue with the right person,it just depends on the type of person you are,and what exactly you plan to use the vehicle for.A real hot rodder/classic car type person probably wouldn't even think any of it is an issue. The horn all of the signals, tail lights, head lights, wipers, heater fan work, with the exception of the reverse lights, they dont work. The defroster hoses are missing. There is no Emergency brake. The car drives good. This is a REAL FACTORY H CODE 340 car but the Fender Tag is Missing and the Drive Train is not Original to the car. I require a 250.00 deposit within 24 hours of auctions end time. full payment due within 7 days of auctions end. I require cash in person or a Certified bank cashiers check, and paid for in full within 7 days of auctions end time. the shipping and paying for shipping is your responsiblity. the title is clear in my name and in my hands.the trunk lid only comes up about half way and you have to use a prop due to the wheel tubs... But the trunk is accessible. Please look at the pictures, they tell the story the car is very nice. The only 2 bads that I really can come up with is the road noise issue and no emergency brake, both are pretty minor and can be corrected pretty reasonable if that bothers you about the car. If the car doesnt sell in the next couple of weeks,I plan on taking care of these 2 things and just keeping the car. Please ask questions if you have any.If any of you want more pictures send me your email address.Feel free to call me at 540 230 2567.My name is William. my feedback is 100% bid with confidence
