Vehicle Detail

This motorcycle has been in my family since it was new. To make it more practical for trips I replaced the original grab bar (included with sale) with a custom made sissy rail (included), and added a Norton style spin-off disposable oil filter. At 21K highway miles on the odometer, the engine, transmission, wiring, electrical, brakes, and carburetor were completely rebuilt. The new pistons are 20 thousandths over bore. The power output was upgraded with a 220 Watt Stator/Alternator, a Boyer pointless ignition. It has been stored under preventative maintainance (ridden 200 miles p.a.) ever since. This present engine has 1,000 break in miles. Odometer reading is 22,500. I also powdered coated the frame and (professionally) restored the original tank paint scheme using the original Triumph stock colors, Astral Blue and Alaska White, and gold pin-stripping (see photos). Paint job was performed by Ed Carlson of Tucson AZ. Except for pointless ignition, and later model (steel) side covers, all parts on this bike are original to1973. I have brand new original side air box covers (part #83-4807 L/H, 83-4808 R/H) as shown in final photo (stock photo) from 1973. However, these original plastic side covers are flimsy, poorly designed and prone to cracking. The steel covers presently on the bike are indestructible. Original rims ( Made in England Dunlop) were re-chromed in 2014. For "Buy it Now" purchase, included are some spare parts: brand new: original air box side covers, a re-chromed 19" Dunlop front rim ($150)l and a set of chrome exhaust pipes (valued around $200) used: A rear sprocket and matching four bolts, and spare turn signals lamp covers.
