Vehicle Detail

Ignore that VIN - Ebay won't recognize a VIN from Japan - The Actual VIN is V234003845, I have included a photo of the Actual Ohio Title just so you know this is on the level. 1992 Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4 Short VR Model E-V23W with motor 6G72 manufactured in 9/92 Recently imported from Salt Free Yokohama Japan NO CORROSION!. Only 93,000 Kilometers which equals 58,000 miles The Timing Belt and Water Pump were just changed at 53,400 miles This is the up-scale version of the legendary Pajero "Hero of the Desert" which was the absolute winner of the Paris Dakar Rally in the early 90's. These were unstoppable in the Paris Dakar rally and were consistently on the podium. Watch some of the old Paris Dakar Rally videos and you'll fall in love with these little 4x4's. More power and a better 4x4 system than the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, designed for actual off-road capability where the Prado was a tame suburban shopping SUV. There's nowhere you can't go in a Pajero and they've earned their reputation being used by law enforcement, public service and military forces all over the world. I'm a licensed, bonded, certified importer and am extremely careful about the cars and motorcycles I bring in. This Pajero has the Super-Select 4x4 shift on the fly system which means you can freely change from 2 High to 4 High at any time below 60 mph simply by moving the lever. There's no getting out to lock the hubs or having to come to a complete stop or putting it in reverse to get it out of AWD mode. Putting the transfer case into 4 Low should only be done at low speeds as you are in a MUCH lower gear range and both ends are locked. The suspension system on this car is super cool. Like all Pajero/Montero's you can select between SOFT MEDIUM and HARD simply by flipping a switch on the console. Note that SOFT is for OFF-ROAD only. It's really, really soft and will give you the maximum wheel travel and cushion. Hard is perfect for freeway travel. The really trick bit about this Pajero is that it has a Ride Height Adjustable feature which means at speeds under 40 mph. You press a button on the console and you can raise the ride height up to 3". We Fluid Film all of our vehicles to protect them from Road Salt, if you're not aware what that is, look it up, we go to a lot of trouble to make sure our cars are rust-free and we want to keep them that way. Proximity sensors, you know that thing that beeps to let you know you're about to back into the car behind you, well, this 25 year old car has a factory sensor system that not only tells you that you're about to hit something, it shows you what corner of the car is at risk, very cool. Power mirrors, sure lots of cars have power mirrors, but these fold in at the touch of a button! This is the V6 3.0 Liter Gas motor which is rated at 151 HP and has the 4 Speed automatic with O/D that can be switched on/off. It purrs and shifts perfectly. I've been getting around 18 mpg on 89 octane. This being the deluxe package is has the climate control heat/ac system with the optional rear heat unit which can be controlled from the front or rear seating area. Just punch in what temperature you want (in centigrade of course) and it will hold that number using either heat or A/C. That Bull-Bar on the front isn't an aftermarket piece of junk, it's the actual factory Mitsubishi deluxe brush guard with real Pajero fog lights that are OEM wired into the dashboard and function with the regular lighting system. It's got all the cool features: Manual opening / Removable sun roofRemote fuel door openerHeadlight washersIntermittent wipers front and rear with rear window defrosterKeyless Entry Compelety modular interior, change the rear seats any way you want. Full factory tool kit including flashlight built into the rear doorFactory alloy wheelsPower Antenna Air Ride/ Suspended Drivers SeatLumbar Support, Adjustable side bolsters and Ratcheting headrests I can take as many pictures as you'd like of this vehicle, just get in touch with me at clevelandmoto . com I can also give you a video of it starting / running around. This is one of my daily drivers and it has been completely reliable. If you really like this Pajero, but you really, really wished it was a diesel...contact me at the shop, because I'm about to list a white '92 Diesel Pajero. I have a class 3 hitch for this Pajero, you can opt for either the hitch or the rear folding step. I'll be keeping whichever one you don't want. I've had several of these Pajero's and they're an absolute blast, the short wheelbase and minimal approach and rear angle makes them unstoppable off-road. The V6 Motor gives tons of torque and the transmission / 4x4 combo puts the power to the wheels in a consistent / controllable fashion. Legendary off-road, yet they're well known for their excellent on-road manners too. I've driven this car 500 miles in a day and it's completely comfortable and I'm 6'1" and over 200 lbs. THE BAD STUFF: There's a scuff/scrape on the left rear fender flare that is clearly visible in the photo titled "LeftRear" there's no corrosion in the scrape and i'm sure it would be an inexpensive repair or, just touch it up an clear coat it. There are some white streaks also visible in the same picture on the left rear bumper cover. These were just light white colored paint transfer from what ever caused the other damage and they've already been removed. The winshield trim in that runs from the bottom corner of the drivers windshield up onto the top of the roof (that covers where a roof rack would be mounted) had some broken clips and it was rattling and making noise. I removed the trim piece. It can be re-installed with factory mitsubishi trim clips, but I haven't gotten them yet. The stereo is outdated at best, it does function, but it works on the japanese FM frequencies which run lower than ours. It goes as high as 89.9 FM so unless you love NPR, you'll probably want to modernize the stereo. It's a basic casette unit. The Yokohama Geolander Tires have tons of tread left, but they're old and it will be up to the new owner to decide if you want to keep running them. You can run a LOT of different / bigger wheels/tires on these Pajero's my Diesel has 16" wheels with 235/75 tires and it sits quite a bit higher.
