The black paint and red interior look just right with chrome Old School Cragar wheels. The air conditioning is a very nice option for us old men. WHAT IS THE HISTORY? All I can tell you and prove is that my dealer friend from near Cincinnati bought the car from a older man from Selma, Alabama. HOW IS THE BODY? In my opinion it is a very good body. Look at the under side pictures, all the floors look original and very solid. The frame extensions look super solid to me. I do see rusty color metal, it has never had under coating so you can see the real condition. HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK! UNDER DASH LIGHT WORKS! HORN WORK! WIPERS WORK! GAS GUAGE WORKS! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! HEATER BLOWER WORKS! ORIGINAL RADIO NOT WORKING! HOW IS THE PAINT? It shines real good, black was not the original color, but all door jambs and under sides have been painted. I say this on almost every black paint job, its needs more buffing and polishing because of a little orange peel and swirl marks. Its hard to get a $15,000 roll out of the trailer paint job on a $15,000 car. The paint is nice driver quality, I see not dents or rust issues, I see some touched up chips, I see a little orange peel, I see some swirl marks, I see a nice looking drive on the street paint job. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Front seat covers look new, back covers good, carpet usable, but worn, dash pad has no cracks, but is a little wavy, head liner good original with no holes, door panels decent. HOW IS THE ENGINE? It’s a 289 with a Ford 2100 carburetor, it runs good, I hear no engine knocks. It is very clean and detail on top and just a old engine looking bottom. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? It’s a green dot C4 automatic that shifts good. HOW IS THE GLASS? New windshield, side glass good originals, back good original. Would not hurt to put new side window wipers in. HOW IS THE CHROME? Bumpers look new, emblems good condition, vent window frames nice, stainless around the windows good with some scruffs, door handles good, front and back window divider’s good outside with some pitting inside. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? As good as stock Mustangs drive to me, it is not power steering, but steers easy. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? 4 wheel drums, that to me stop decent. Not power and may pull a little the first time they are applied if parked for a while. HOW ARE THE WHEELS AND TIRES? Very nice Cragar wheels with new looking tires. Backs are larger than the fronts. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303.
