Asking $995 or BEST OFFER.OVERALLThe car runs just fine, but needs TWO specific repairs in order to pass the state inspection in Virginia.(1) Power Steering. The mechanic said the power steering pump is leaking and must be replaced. He said the rack and pinion might have a leak too, but he won't be able to tell until the power steering pump is replaced; thus, the rack and pinion might need no repair at all, or only a repair kit, or full replacement.(2) Exhaust. He would have to lift the car and check what exactly needs to be repaired. He said there is probably a leak somewhere that needs a segment replaced with a little welding. The car passed the state emissions test last year (January 2017) and does not need another test until January 2019.ONE OTHER RECOMMENDATION-The negative battery terminal is junky/corroded and should be replaced. I currently leave it disconnected when I'm not driving it because otherwise it draws down the battery. This issue just started about two weeks ago.RECENT REPLACEMENTSThe battery was replaced in April 2016. The alternator was replaced in summer of 2011. They both tested fine two weeks ago, and should be in good shape for at least a few years. The timing belt was replaced in 2011. Brakes were replaced in 2014. Power steering hoses and clamps were replaced in 2017. The solenoid valve was replaced in 2017. The exhaust flex pipe was replaced in 2017. All four tires are in great condition with lots of tread. The front tires were replaced in summer of 2015, so this attests to how little the car has been driven in recent years. MILEAGE-The odometer is frozen at 138,100 from the end of 2010. I estimate the maximum true mileage to be about 148,000, according to the following annual usage:2011: 3,000 miles2012: 3,000 miles2013: 1,500 miles2014: 1,000 miles2015: 500 miles2016: 250 miles2017: 250 milesThe car has hardly been driven in recent years. I have kept it around only for basic needs, and it has been run about once every week or two weeks for the last three years. Fuel economy for this model is 22 mpg city / 30 mpg highway.ACCIDENTSThe car was side-swiped twice while parked, both on the front driver's side--once in 2008 (was witnessed by a police officer) and 2012 (by a Zip car). Both times left the side view mirror hanging and scratched the fender and bumper. The first incident peeled the bumper back a little. Neither incident affected the car's operation or required any kind of towing. TWO OWNERS, ONE FAMILY-The car has had two owners: my sister, who bought it new, and then me. EXTRAS-This Altima has a sunroof.-Heat and AC work fine.APPEARANCE and MINOR DEFECTSThe bumper has some peeling, as you can see in the pictures. There is rust along the bottom of the sides. You can see this a little in the pictures.The display on the radio does not work, but the radio does work. The antenna is a little noisy when it moves up and down.The power locks do not seem to work while the car is turned on; the doors must be locked manually. When the car is turned off, the power locks work fine.DOCUMENTSI have a free version of the Carfax report. I have discarded most of the paperwork for oil changes and repairs over the years. I do have some receipts for repairs in recent years, though, as well as inspection and emissions results, etc. PRICEKelley Blue Book value for this car in this condition ranges from $1,200 to $1,750.
