Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1966 El Camino. It's a great looking half car / half truck that runs like new and is a blast to drive. You don't see too many around so it's unique and stands out. The best part is the monster 6.0 liter LS fuel injected engine under the hood and 4l60e trans with plenty of horsepower and reliability at the turn of a key. I believe the powertrain came out of a 2005 GTO and now runs on a complete Painless wiring harness and ECU. It is set up with a nice cold air intake/filter and HOOKER headers into a dual exhaust and comes out of custom Chevy exhaust tips. It also has a 12 bolt rear end. It runs great, turn the key and drive anywhere with confidence. Power disc brakes up front and power steering make driving effortless. I love it the way it is, but many people like this combo for adding a turbo or supercharger kit. It was originally an AC car and many of the components are still there. The frame and floors are in good shape overall and the bed is very clean. The body is in good shape as well, the paint shines beautifully and shows well but does have some imperfections from age and use. The chrome bumpers and trim are all in good shape. The SS hood makes the front end look mean and custom wheels show off the disc brakes. The bed has a custom Tonneau cover that looks great and keeps the bed clean. The interior is very clean and in great shape as well. The custom billet steering wheel sits on a polished tilt/telescoping column and Dakota Digital Gauge cluster look clean and custom at the same time. The carpet and door panels look like new, the bucket seats are leather and power, and has a B&M Quicksilver shifter on the floor and an aftermarket audio system that sounds great but appears original. It is a great car overall, with classic style and modern convenience and reliability. Not a show or museum car, but something you can get in and enjoy everyday and take to your local car show. This is a NO RESERVE auction, meaning it will be sold to the highest bidder. Sold as-is. Feel free to contact me with any OFFERS, QUESTIONS, or to COME SEE THE CAR in person.
