Vehicle Detail

I'm selling 2006 Audi A3 Sport, 2.0L Turbo, Auto w/ paddle shifter. I'm the original owner. The car has 199,061 miles, always garaged until the end of 2017. It failed safety inspection and needs more than I'm willing to spend. It's being sold AS IS for parts or if you can get it to pass inspection. It is on a salvage title after an accident that sandwiched the car at 125,000 miles. There were no structural issues, mostly cosmetic, $7,500 parts & labor (have detailed invoice). The car starts right up and drives fine. Used synthetic oil since new. Tires have plenty of tread (20,000 miles on them), gas tank is almost full. It just failed inspection at the end of December. I also moved at the end of December (MA to NH) and ran out of time to address the emergency brake. Thought I would just take it to the dealer, fix the emergency brake and get a sticker. Bad idea! They said it needs the ebrake, it has a pinhole exhaust leak and it has a frozen caliper. It drove and stopped just fine the 30 miles to the dealer. On Jan-19-18 at 13:03:40 PST, seller added the following information: Added more pics More detail on the inspection failure: The car failed inspection in Massachusetts. They check for the safety of the vehicle and its emissions. The car failed the safety part of the inspection. The Audi dealer, who is going to be super picky, said it had a pinhole leak in the exhaust (can't really hear it), it had a frozen caliper (I would assume it was a rear as it stops well), and the emergency brake did not work. They think the cable probably snapped inside the sheath, but did not look further. In Massachusetts, if it fails the safety part of the inspection they attach a red "R", if it fails emissions, they attach a black "R". A car with a red "R" cannot be driven. A black "R" emission failure can still drive the car until the problem is fixed.
