This 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300D is in great condition. This one is of the W123 variety. It is a 5 cylinder turbodiesel and it runs, drives, and stops well. I have a large stack of service records and registrations from the time that the car was purchased new in California. It then moved to Utah and finally Kansas. The car just completed a round trip from Kansas to Michigan and back. Consistent 80mph on the highway and no problems to speak of. The car is rust free with the exception of the spot on the passenger front fender where a rain drain was clogged with debris and caused rust (as pictured above). All power windows including sunroof work. All seats are in good condition with the exception of one crack in the driver's seat bolster. The dashboard is in great shape with the exception of one 3in. crack near the passenger's speaker. All lights work properly including dash, console, and trunk lights. An aftermarket radio/CD player has been installed and works. The spare wheel/tire are in good shape as well as the jack. The undercarriage of this car is in terrific shape with very little rust. The air conditioning system has been updated with modern refrigerant but remains untested. The car starts easily in the cold.
