THIS IS A SALVAGE TITLE CAR. PLEASE NOTE, I AM AN INDIVIDUAL SELLER, AND THIS IS MY PERSONAL CAR THAT I'VE DRIVEN FOR 10 YEARS OR SO. I AM NOT A MECHANIC BUT WILL TRY TO DESCRIBE WHAT I KNOW. YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE CONCERNS, THANKS IF YOU DO DECIDE TO PURCHASE, YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR ME TO FORMALLY ACQUIRE THE SALVAGE TITLE FROM INSURANCE AND THEN TRANSFER IT TO YOU. Ok anyway, My poor old 2001 Toyota RAV4 was in an accident while parked at Chick-fil-A and has been declared totaled. I will probably apply for a salvage title and keep it however, though right now technically the title is clear. The insurance offer is 3200 for me to keep it, or 3500 for them to take it. I haven't accepted yet, but if I get some offers here on eBay, then I probably will decide to keep so I can resell. The car drives fine, and I have actually driven it for a couple months now, since the time of the accident. (it was November 11th 2017). However, the car does have some abnormalities. The most concerning one is that the transmission 'slips' sometimes when changing gears, usually in the morning after I first crank it and am going up-hill. It happens like between 1st and 2nd gear or something. It's been doing it for years, and if I had to guess, I would say, it's slowly getting worse. Because of this, I'm careful not to push the car too much or accelerate too fast if I can help it. It also isn't the best at down-shifting. Sometimes, I will press the brakes, and the engine will "rev up" when I press the brakes. Also, one of the BACK brakes (I think on the passenger side) seems to have a squeaking problem... I've never been able to figure it out. Maybe a drum replacement is needed? One of the smaller 'issues' I've also noticed is that when I shift from Park to Drive, etc. it sorta "thuds" kinda hard. I don't really know why. I've had this car for years, and people have said I needed to get a new one for years..! But it has kept running. I can't drive it anymore though, but if someone else wants to take the risk on it and buy it, I hope you will get some more life out of it. Just keep in mind it cannot be legally driven in GA unless repaired! :) Other than the obvious damage on the back left side (quarter panel I think it's called), here are some other helpful notes: Other notes: Car has ~245,000 miles on it, but I'm still driving it, so I marked it as 250,000 in the listing to be safe Color: Burgandy - Paint is peeling off and doesn't look good in several places, like the top of the car, and front / hood area - Back-left (drivers side) door and rear door no longer close 'easily'. They must be "slammed" even still, I don't think they fully seal. I have noticed both water on the car seat and moisture on the inside of the windshield! - Front-left of car has some damage from another previous accident. If looking to rebuild, that may need to get some work as well. - Gray plastic piece on right side broke off at some point while driving. (It had gotten loose and must've caught the wind!) - Interior is generally fair condition. Kinda dirty and grimy, but not TOO horrible. Maybe a few stains, but the general consensus is just the everything is faded and worn-looking. - Interior: one of the cup holders in the middle of the car is broken / missing the black plastic holder piece - Back cover for Tire: I still have the back cover for the tire somewhere I believe.
