The rebuild was completed with top of the line Mahale pistons and has less than 600 miles on it. The bus has the original fuel injection system. You can fire this bus up, hit the road, and drive it to cross country tomorrow with zero issues. She has a fresh oil change, tune up, and timing completed. There is a fire suppression system installed in the engine compartment. The bus has a brand new Bosch starter, battery, and ignition switch. She fires right up, runs STRONG, and stays cool. The clutch plate was checked while the engine was out and is like new. The clutch pedal was just adjusted, and she shifts through all the gears smoothly. There are no transmission issues. There is no “popping” out of gear. Transmission is as solid and reliable as the engine on this bus. All lights, turn signals, windshield wipers function as they should. All the contacts were cleaned and function properly. The iconic VW also works. She is ready for any road trip you throw at her. INTERIOR/EXTERIOR: Just to be clear, this is NOT a fully restored bus. It has been kept as original as we could. They are NO warranties. The bus is being sold as is. You are welcome and I encourage you to come and check it out in person prior to purchasing. If you can’t make it in person, you can send someone to check it out for you. This bus is used and is almost 40 years old and there are imperfections. This is not a “show bus”, we drive it and camp in it as it was meant to be used. It is very clean, garage kept, and extremely well cared for. I have included many photos and will be glad to send more upon request by serious buyers. I have nothing to hide. The pictures speak for themselves. I have had many questions about common issues that experienced buyers look for when purchasing a bus like this. I can tell you now, they are not issues with this bus. The pictures and description are not too good to be true, they are simply facts. This bus is SOLID. All the common rust areas on these types of buses are non existent on this one. The battery tray, wheel wells, and all the floor pans are original and solid. There is nothing but common surface rust on the under carriage of the bus, and I have included photos. I planned to seal the under carriage, but chose not to do so since we are selling the bus. It is in its original state and nothing is hidden. You can see that the bus is solid. There is no “bondo” and the bus has never been wrecked. The VIN is provided so you are more than welcome to conduct a vehicle history report. I encourage you to do so. The odometer reads 84277, actual miles unknown and unverifiable. The bus has a clean title and will come with a bill of sale. The bus was freshly painted Sage Green a little over a year ago. The headliner, trim, kick plates, sliding door panel, and rear hatch are all custom handmade with Baltic birch. She has a new canvas pop top and new seals all around. The bus has its original carpet in the back, and has new carpet in the front area. It also has a custom made console/stool that fits between the front seats. The bus also comes with custom made parcel trays. The bus has a newly installed “retro” sound system with auxiliary cable and Bluetooth. We will also include the original tables that came with the the bus.
