Vehicle Detail
1991 Land Rover Range Rover Classic 2-door Turbo D ACTUAL VIN# SALLHABN8HA605783 NOTE: THIS VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN DENIA, SPAIN, but I ship to the USA. Please check my feedback, and please read the entire listing before bidding. It is being resisted because of a non-paying buyer. I am an American, living in Spain, and I sell and export vehicles to the USA regularly. Although shipping costs are not included in the price of the sale, I work every month with an established worldwide shipper and will work directly with the buyer to arrange delivery to the USA. I will drop the vehicle off at the port of Valencia for you at no additional cost, prepare all the proper documentation for shipping to the USA, and handle all the US customs and importation on the USA side. If you would like me to handle the shipping, customs paperwork, and everything for you, the cost is a flat-rate of $1900, port-to-port, to your choice of New York, Baltimore, MD, Jacksonville, FL or Freeport (Galveston), TX. No additional costs. No taxes or duties. No work on your part. You just pick the car up from the port, fully cleared and released. If you would like the vehicle delivered to your driveway, anywhere in the continental USA, I can deliver it door-to-door. Inquire for price. Once the vehicle is in your possession, you will also have all the documents you need to register the car in any of 49 states (California excepted). I can even arrange transportation within the USA, from the port to your driveway. In short, I am here to help with every step of the process of delivering this vehicle to you. You are of course welcome to fly here and test the car for yourself before you bid, but if that is not feasible, I will be happy to take additional photos, videos, etc. and send them to you. Whatever you need. We can speak on the telephone, or by Skype, so you can see the vehicle in real time before you bid. If you have any questions, please ask and I will post as many answers here as possible. For more details on buying directly from me in Spain, see https://www.autologymotors.com/buyingfromspain/ WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?Purchased from the original owner, an elderly man in Barcelona, this Range Rover Classic is truly in "time capsule" condition. Astonishingly clean, inside and out, with absolutely no signs of serious use, it is among the finest original RRC's we have ever seen, and drives as new.The "Roman Bronze" paintwork is largely original, and is a rare and elegant color on the classic 2-door Range Rover coachwork. Bodywork is straight with no filler, and panel gaps are excellent throughout. Original black trim is all present and in fantastic condition, and all glass is original and perfect. The factory "Rostyle" wheels have been retained and wear new Michelin tires.Inside, the original tan velour seating surfaces are in nearly perfect condition, with only the lightest of wear appearing here and there. The dashboard is tight and rattle-free, the center console (consistently a problem on RRC's of this vintage) looks like new, all carpeting is excellent, and the partitions in the rear cargo area are all unwarped and fit in their various places perfectly. A new headliner rounds out what might be the nicest original interior we have ever found in a Range Rover Classic of this era. Factory air conditioning blows ice cold, power windows and mirrors work perfectly, but otherwise this RRC is relatively free from electronics or other "luxury" doo dads that proved troublesome on their USA-market counterparts.Underneath, the chassis is untouched and perfect. Zero rust. No scrapes or dents in the crossmembers that typically indicate off road use. Nothing out of the ordinary. Everything is straight, healthy and honest. It really is like a time capsule, this truck. It is pretty incredible to find a vehicle that has had only one obsessive owner, and has remained in such outstanding condition its entire life. WHAT IS IT LIKE TO DRIVE?In every way it drives as new. Twist the key and the 2.5L turbo diesel comes to life instantly (no warming of the glow plugs needed) and settles into a quiet, refined idle. It is almost strange driving this car. It doesn't feel like a well-kept original - it feels like a brand newRange Rover Classic. Snick the gear lever into first engage the clutch and you're off.The turbodiesel was highly respected in the period for offering vastly superior levels of refinement and efficiency to what diesel owners were accustomed to at the time. Far more "passenger vehicle" in feel than "old diesel truck," the engine is smooth and torquey, building boost quickly and delivering effortless torque with no undue smoke or clatter. Cylinder heads on this example were fully overhauled in 2016 and are ready for another 25 years of service, with new belts, hoses, filters and fluids. The 5-speed gearbox, absolutely as-new in this example, clicks off gear changes with light, precise accuracy and driving in all conditions is delightful.Brakes and steering are both perfect, operating with correct assist, no noise or vibration, and original levels of refinement throughout. All lights and gauges work as intended, the factory air conditioning is ice cold, and it has recently passed the rigorous Spanish national safety inspection. We see a lot of these Range Rover Classics, and we only buy the best. Then we do whatever we need to do to make them as good as they can be by the time we offer them for sale. But this one is different. This one is exceptional now because it has always been exceptional - the careful charge of a single, obsessive owner. It needs nothing now because it has always gotten everything it ever needed. That makes it a particularly rare and wonderful find. For more information, including more photos and videos, visit: https://www.autologymotors.com/rrcbronze
