Hello! Detailed records listed below!Non-Smoker Car.For sale, I have my beloved 2001 Nissan Pathfinder 5 speed manual 2 wheel drive. I purchase this amazing car back on September 15th, 2001 as a 25th birthday present for myself. I am the original owner of this car and as you will see below it is very well maintained. The Pathfinder has never been in a wreck, it has never been off-roading, it has a clean title and is solid throughout. I guess you are wondering why I want to sell something that is so near and dear to me. Well, it is not because of its age, looks, or any mechanical issues. Over the last 9 years, I have cycled to work and used my Pathfinder less and less. Recently I have changed jobs which puts me closer to work and now I bike to work every day. In fact, I pretty much bike everywhere and the Pathfinder just sits in my driveway. As I have slowly evolved into a car-free lifestyle my wife still has her car which is also getting up in age (2002 Honda CRV). Unfortunately, she doesn't want to and can’t drive the 5-speed Pathfinder. So here we are. I have this awesome Pathfinder which I believe could go another 100,000 miles without to much fuss but it never gets driven. So instead it will start to deteriorate in my driveway and I would rather find it a good home and put the proceeds towards a newer automobile for my wife. Engine cleaned every 6 months on average! Everything on the Pathfinder works. The AC is cold and strong, the radio works (detachable face with remote), all four power windows and the power sunroof work. All the dash lights work except the light behind the odometer (that shows the mileage) and the lights behind the AC controls. The light behind the AC controls can be fixed easily. I have done it once in the past. The odometer might not be as easy but it just went out recently and it’s not really bothersome. Every once in a while it still flickers on and off (I want to be clear you can still read the odometer at all times it just the light the lights it up at night that is out). The Pathfinder has a 1-inch lift all around with Old Man Emu springs front and back and heavy duty Old Man Emu Shock in the rear. Up front, I have KYB struts. There are no spacers or camber kits on this ride! The alignment is on point with the 1-inch lift. I also have a set of Yokohama P265/70 R16 (approx 31-inch tires) wrapped around a set of 16 inch black Rock Crawlers. No rubbing with this set! The ride is smooth and straight but more truck like than car like. This Pathfinder also included a tow hitch package! The interior is clean, the engine bay is clean, and under the SUV is clean with no rust! The Pathfinder also has a set of working KC light mounted behind the grill that work! The lights and wiring are cleanly installed with a relay, fuse and a factory Nissan fog light switch located properly in the dash. One of the KC lights has a cracked glass but doesn’t seem to take on water. This would be an easy fix. The seats are still comfortable and except for a few minor interior blemishes you wouldn’t think this SUV was from 2001. Lots of tread left on these tires. The windows are tinted all around. Factory tint in the back and 3M (will not turn purple on you) tint on the front two windows and sunroof! I think that about covers the good I will also include the following:· Factory fit sun visor.· Pro.Fit Vehicle specific mount for your cell phone. · Haynes Manual· A box off small mixed Nissan parts (mostly tie down hooks for the roof rack and mixed nuts and bolts. With a car this age it’s not going to be perfect and I would like to be upfront so you know exactly what you are purchasing. The Pathfinder does have a small oil leak on the rear main seal and it has had this for a while. The SUV can go between oil changes losing little to no oil which gives you an idea of how small and slow the leak is and the strength of the engine. Because you have to remove the transmission the cost replace the $20 seal to fix the leak is the same as it would cost to replace the clutch (so do it all at once). The clutch is still good and strong and not heavy at all! I planned to replace the seal when the clutch goes out but that would be a long wait. There is also a crack in the windshield the runs along the very bottom side to side and half way up the passenger side. Please see the picture. The crack does not block the view at all. Where I live in Memphis we do not have inspection so I have never bothered to replace it. Finally, there is the IACU or Idle Air Control Unit that went out. I had my shop replace the IACU but unfortunately, it also burned out a circuit on the computer (common issues on this car). My shop was able to bypass this when they replaced the IACU and the SUV runs great! I could have replaced the computer but because I do not drive it much or at all I did not want to spend the money. The bypass does not affect how the SUV runs but some time you do need to give it a little gas on cold starts but that could also be because of I never drive it and it sits. Also, the check engine light will go on and off occasionally. The computer can be replaced and if you are somewhat mechanically inclined it wouldn’t be much of a cost. I do want to state that this does not affect how the car drivers or its dependability. I would have no issue driving this car across the country at all. This SUV has been out in the elements all its life. The paint on the hood and roof are faded (also very common on this year model and color) and the lower grill pc by the drives side fog light is missing (less than $10.00 to replace) (someone backed into the Pathfinder while it was parked on the street and drove off). The good news is that there are very few door dings or nicked paint for a car this age! Below you will find a detailed maintenance log for my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. The Pathfinder is a 01 but I really didn’t start logging anything until 2006. Everything before that was oil changes, new tires, tire rotation and etc which I believe the paperwork is all in my Nissan folder or what I like to call the Nissan Pathfinder Bible.
