Up for bids is my nicely restored '75 drop top 'Vette. I purchased it from a collector, where it sat for several years. I have put about $6000 in it since then, and just drove it from the Orlando area (where I live) to the Florida Keys--a 600 mile trip--without a single problem or issue. This car is ready for a coast-to-coast trip, no worries. Here is a partial list of the work I've had done on the car, and I have all the receipts to prove it: - new interior (new leather seats, dash pad, shifter console, carpet, instrument panel, etc.) - new suspension bushings and ball joints - A/C system repaired - entire brake system overhauled (new calipers, pads, E-brake system, etc.) - new convertible top - all new hoses and drive belts - new dual exhaust system, from the exhaust manifolds on back - installed a period-correct looking radio, but one you can play your cell phone or tablet through! - installed a new stainless steel luggage rack for use on trips - new power steering ram All gauges and instruments work, including the clock! The vacuum-operated headlights work perfectly--no air leaks or rotten vacuum hoses, a common problem area in these cars. The horn blows, the tilt/telescoping steering column works perfectly. I also just had it aligned, so it tracks straight down the road. As for any issues: - the tires are nine years old, and probably should be replaced if you drive at sustained high speeds - the A/C system probably needs a recharge, it's not blowing quite as cold as before - the right turn signal indicator bulb in the dash is burned out Feel free to email me with any questions you have.
