This 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport really stands out in a crowd of other mundane vehicles out on the road today! It has been lifted and has 33" Mud Claw tires installed that do not rub at all even on full lock turns! The wheels are aluminum with imitation beadlock rings. It has fully adjustable upper and lower control arms and an adjustable track rod arm. It has a drop pitman arm and everything was aligned after installation. The Iron Rock Offroad HNT Slip Yoke Eliminator has been installed on the NP231 case. This mod allows you to use a front drive shaft from any XJ with the slip joint. This way if you take this jeep on the trails you won't have to carry 2 driveshaft spares since now the front and rear driveshafts are identical! How cool?!?! There are no warning lights illuminated on the dash and it starts and runs smoothly. It has an aftermarket radio installed with an AUX input! The exhaust has had the muffler deleted in exchange for a straight pipe and it has a newer high flow catalytic converter. Sounds beefy! The previous owner said the head was replaced about a year ago as the 2000 and 2001 4.0L Engines have weak head castings and they crack. This one looks to have been sorted so you shouldn't have to worry about that. The radiator also appears to be newer. A new heater core has just been installed due to a coolant smell inside the Jeep when driving. Upon taking the heater box out to change the heater core it was confirmed to be leaking so the new one has been installed, the heater box has been cleaned out, and the smell is gone! Since we already had the dash apart to replace the heater core we have also replaced the A/C evaporator and associated lines/dryer as preventative maintenance! Happy Bidding!!! I look forward to giving this Jeep a new home! Conditon Notes: Overall a decent condition vehicle. Runs/Drives and stops well. Please keep in mind this is a lifted 18 year old Jeep. It will not drive like a brand new Jeep. This being said I drive it for leisure drives through the valley and it would be perfect for offroad adventures. These two uses is where it is at home. I have had it on the highway before but its a lifted Jeep, its not really meant for excessive highway driving. When I had it on the highway I noticed no death wobble, it was just a little bouncy(stiff ride) with the short arm lift. There are some dents and scratches to be expected with an 18 year old vehicle as well as the majority of the paint is original. The paint shines nice however some areas aren't perfect like the hood has some touched up chips and the roof has some checking and flaking but overall the whole body on the Jeep looks better than most other Cherokees on the road. The interior is in decent shape with no tears in the seats and only slight wear. The headliner has been removed and the headliner board has been covered with bedliner in lieu of replacing the fabric. The tires are brand new with only a few miles on them. There is a very minor oil leak. Parking brake does not work and there is a rattle coming from underneath on big bumps, I think the exhaust pipe is just hitting something. Has an occasional belt squeel... Only started to notice it more once it got cold out. I know that sounds like a lot but overall its a decent Cherokee I just want to be as transparent as possible about what I've noticed about the Jeep and not be like all the other dealers out there trying to rip you off.
