This listing is for a 1999 Honda Accord EX four-door sedan. It does not start, or crank; we do not know what’s wrong with the engine. It broke down on us when we were driving it’s three nights ago: We heard a loud bang, saw some smoke from the engine, and then the car shut off. We have only had the car for a week, so the only background information we have is from the vin number, which shows a good history with no major accidents or repairs. Oil, transmission, and radiator fluid levels had just been checked and were fine, and the battery was brand spanking new. The one thing that sticks out in my head is the fact that the car had been sitting for over a month at the auction site and nobody had scrubbed the tank or blown out the lines before we started driving it. This car is loaded and all the power controls worked before the break down, as well as the air conditioner and heater. It has a moonroof and an Alpine stereo that is Sirius Radio ready. The interior is clean with minimal signs of wear that include a couple of small cracks in the leather. The dash is not cracked and there are no cracks in the windows. The paint on the car has definitely taken a beating and has faded in many spots on the outside of the car. We have the title but have not had the time to get it transferred into our name. The auction company signed it and put my husband’s name down as the new owner.
