Vehicle Description Thank you for viewing our 2003 Ford Expedition XLT 4x4. This full size suv has 189,000 original miles on it, and is in need of mechanical repairs. The power plant is a 4.6 liter V-8 engine mated to an automatic transmission with 4 wheel drive. The features and options include the following: 1. Automatic Transmission (Tested, O/D light is flashing…. Needs repair.) 2. Power Steering (Tested, work to Design) 3. Power Brakes (Tested, Works to Design) 4. 4 Wheel Drive (Tested, Works to Design) 5. Auto Lock Hubs (Tested, Works to Design) 6. Air Conditioning (Tested, Ice Cold and Works to Design) 7 .Front Air Bags (Did Not Test, Hopefully you won't either!!-ha-ha) 8. Power Sunroof (Tested, Works to Design) 9. Power Windows and Locks (Tested, Works to Design - except r.r. door power window switch is missing.) 10.Tilt Wheel (Tested, Works to Design) 11.Fog Lights (Tested, Works to Design) 12.Am-Fm Stereo (Tested, Works to Design - did not test cd player) We accepted this Expedition as a trade in, and put it on the lift to check it over. Surprisingly, it's very solid underneath with no rust concerns. The lights, horn, wipers, heater, air conditioning are all in good working order. The front brakes measure 12/32 (pretty much brand new) and the rear brakes measure 6/32, so there's still alot of life left. The front end measured tight with no evidence of play. As you can see from our 100% positive feedback, we practice our due diligence in providing you with as much information as possible in order to assist you in making a good, informed buying decision. This car is no exception, and in the interest of full disclosure, here are some areas of concern that we noted: Mechanically.....The engine is quiet, but it smokes out of the exhaust pipe and the check engine light is on. The transmission overdrive light is flashing, which tells us that the there is a transmission issue. The vehicle stalls intermittently, so our best guess is the torque convertor lock up is bad, but we didn’t not diagnose due to age, mileage, and value. This one has a very solid body, but will need some mechanical repairs, so we are selling it at no reserve to the highest bidder. Also, there is a slight exhaust leak up front, and the r.r. power window button is missing on the rr door, it appears to have fallen down into the panel. It does work from the master switch on the left front door. Cosmetically.......The body is very nice, I’m sure you can find some flaws here and there, given its age and mileage, but overall it’s above-average with no evidence of rust concerns. The overall condition of the interior is pretty nice, except for the two front leather seats, as they are worn pretty badly, but there is nice aftermarket tan seat covers on the two front seats to hide those sins. The 2nd row and 3rd row leather seats are very nice, and the carpets, headliner, dash and door panels are in nice shape.
