With some work, this van will be an absolute STEAL! Issues / repairs needed:When we bought it from a dealership in 2004, the Venture had only 7,000 miles on it and it has always run perfectly until just a few months ago. It now has the following issues: 1. The ENGINE LIGHT is on and the code indicates "misfire on cylinder 2"... we had all six fuel injectors REPLACED (over $1000), but it still runs a little rough at start-up; mechanic believes it is likely a head gasket. 2. It has begun to OVERHEAT after driving a few miles; this probably also indicates the head gasket 3. It has a bit of cosmetic damage in the back from a very minor accident (struck from behind while sitting at a construction stop); the passenger tail-light was REPLACED. 4. Battery has died from sitting unused; it may take a jump, but I recommend towing* 5. Other minor issues: electric lock mechanism does not lock rear passenger door automatically, it must be done manually; wipers need to be adjusted as they extend a bit too far to the side and don't quite close all the way down as they should when off; Wiper fluid tank can only be filled part way as it leaks a bit around one hose seal (probably just needs a new rubber gasket). Buyer must be able to have the vehicle picked up from my residence in SEWELL, NJ (08080).*Towing is recommended because of the overheating issue, but you're welcome to bring a battery/charger to get it started.Please contact me (Jeff) with any questions.
