1948 Olds Rocket For sale is my 1949 Olds 88. Her name is "Ghost Story". She is a black four door that has had the rear doors shaved of the handles. The rear doors are still fully functional, just no external handles. The interior is good for a car her age with the headliner needing the most attention. The passenger window has some cracks. She is relatively rust free for a car this age, with only minor bubbling on one rear fender lip. All lights and turn signals work. The brakes and steering are manual and work well. Now for the good stuff. Under the hood is a Buick 455. It is a 10.5 to 1 compression with flat top pistons with valve reliefs. It has a TA performance 312 cam. This is topped off with an Offenhauser 2x4 aluminum intake from TA. The intake is topped off with 2 Edelbrock 600 cfm carbs. The carbs are fed with a Jegs hp electric fuel pump. All that engine is tied to a TH400 tranny with a Jegs 3200 converter. The rear end gears are 3.64 to 1 and is non posi. Drive train has about 2500 miles on the rebuild. It runs great. It you like adrenalin this is the car for you.
