Vehicle Detail
1952 Ford F3 Pickup Truck, hard to find pickup truck in complete all original condition with original Flathead V8. These heavier 50's Ford trucks are harder to find in all original condition. This truck has been sitting for many years. The body is well preserved considering its age. It is remarkably solid with rust being confined to the driver's side floorboards, drivers and passenger's side fenders have rust hole on each side and in the lower area of the drivers and passenger's side truck bed just behind the fenders. It has the sought after patina look if that's what you like. There is no bondo in this truck. The original wooden bed floor is completely gone and will need to be replaced . The interior is also in original condition but obviously the original seat will need repairing. It rolls and steers. The original Flathead V8 motor hasn't ran in decades. I had a mechanic start working on the Truck and this is where we are currently at. Remove tires, apply heat and pull front drum to inspect brakes, more than 75% worn , no functionDrain oil, remove oil pan clean out cover, clean out a bit of crud (not too bad), drain oil filter canister, reseal cover and add fresh oilReplace coil, condenser, points are not readily available so I filed them for testing ignitionTest ignition, have great spark on all 8 cylindersAdd gas, try to start, fires occasionallyPull spark plugs to inspect and gapCheck cylinders for compression, 1,7,2,8 have some compression, 4,6,3,5 ( Center cylinders ) do not, its likely that you have some valves stuck open, will need to remove the heads to find out. I also have hours of research that comes with the truck on where to get parts and supplies for an F3 pickup of this age.Unfortunately , Something financial has come up and I have no extra cash to continue working on the truck. I feel it is a waste to let it sit. It is currently stored in my barn.I also have extra parts that go with the truck, which came with it when I bought the truck. If you have any questions please message me. Advertised elsewhere so could sell at anytime.
