Relisting as previous winner did not pay. 1981 Honda GL500 Interstate with all the accessories. Also known as the Honda Silverwing.This is a shaft drive, water cooled, smaller version of the Goldwing. It is a fantastic ride, really light, turns easily and very forgiving. I would happily ride it across the US. It is definitely a capable touring motorcycle. I have ridden this many times on the interstate and it can sit all day at 80+mph. These rarities are really versatile bikes because they are suitable for both experienced riders and beginners. Everything works well, including the original cassette player (Fleetwood Mac cassette included). Also comes with a pair of matching hardcover saddlebags from the factory that are not currently on the bike. The left speaker on the fairing does not work but I believe it is due to a loose wire. There is also no aerial for the radio.Never been dropped or crashed. The title is clean and in my name. It is also currently registered in my name, too. It currently has 25,571 miles. I use it as a daily driver so it will have a few more miles by the end of the auction, but nothing more than a few hundred at most. These will easily do 200,000+ miles if looked after properly. There are two very shallow dents on the lower TOP of the gas tank (not on the sides), probably from someone dropping something on it. The saddle bags have scratches in them (not pictured or currently on the bike) and there is some light pitting on some of the aluminum parts. They could probably be buffed out but I don't have the tools to do that. If you are in or near Washington state I can deliver it to you for free.
