My Dad acquired this VW Beetle back in 1983 from friend stationed at Goodfellow AFB. Car was originally purchased in Germany and brought over when they were transferred. My Dad started to put lots of money in for restoration but as health declined, the bug went into storage and that it where it still resides. Last time it was driven was in 2005, had to take the state inspection sticker off to get the title transferred to my Mother. Title change was just requested 10/17 - should be here in 2 to 3 weeks. I know the upholstery is all new and have all the original manuals from Germany. Tried to get as many pictures as possible - they were offered $6000 for this when it was in running condition but with it sitting so long, lowering the price since it will take someone dedicated to car restoration. Someone recently was looking at the car at the storage company, unit had been broken into but nothing taken. The manager was impressed with the condition of the car and the engine. I just opened the hood once I read the instruction book - looks like there is a cover in there plus the original jack and tools.
