1998 Ford Mustang Convertible. Base Model, 3.8L, 198,000 miles. The GOOD: Clean title, clean car, no real fender dings, rebuilt suspension: springs, shocks, brakes (front done two years ago, rear a year before that), second owner (first owner was a lady who kept it in a garage and only put 30K on it), did most work myself (OK maybe that's not a "good" thing); motor starts and runs very well, tires in good shape, passes inspection, automatic top works great, you'll look good in it The BAD: my daughter drove this to high school, meaning over the past few years it accumulated only a few miles per trip but it also accumulated a cracked front bumper; car regularly throws code 1443 (EVAP Control - I think it may be an O2 sensor or intake issue) but this doesn't impact performance; two small holes in roof; fabric seats show wear (driver's seat is covered); starts hard in the cold, below freezing (battery's only a few years old, I think it's the starter) The UGLY: Air conditioner is not working (unsure if there's a leak or bad compressor; I've tried adding coolant); the odometer stopped working in June (I'm assuming it has no more than 1000 miles over what the odometer currently states) Biggest Needs: Odometer, A/C, new top Could Use: 1443 code (I've chased this for years), fuel filter, serpentine belt, starter, bumper cover This car has lots of miles but has been well cared for and it still looks pretty good.
