This is an extremely clean, unrestored naked R converted from an original R100rt. It's a lovingly ridden and cared for survivor with all the genuine charm of an unmolested 35 year old BMW with the refinements and reliability that pre 80's BMWs dont possess in their original form. Original paint, motor and drivetrain in excellent working order. No expense spared in maintaining and equiping her. Bike handles the canyons almost as good as my Thruxton R and its far more versatile. Starts on first hit every time. his year came with the indestructible nikasil cylinders, electronic ignition and other drivetrain refinements that made earlier models problematic. Ive made other modifications to bring it up to current standards. This one can take you around the world, canyon carving or down to the store in total style and with care free reliability. I use it for the occassional canyon cruise but with my Thruxton R its hard to keep both.
