Up for sale is an awesome 1985 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler. It is ready to drive all over the world as it sits but of course it could use some loving. Features a hard top and hard doors. Painless wiring harness. The doors have repairs on them by the vent windows which is very common for CJs. The windows go up and down no problem. I do not have the door keys. Under the hood it a small block Chevy 350, a Proform 4 barrel carb, Hedman headers, HEI, Optima battery, new alternator, new brake booster and master cylinder. Its got glasspacks on it so this motor sounds amazing! People turn their heads when you drive down the road! It is matched up to a 4 speed transmission. 1st gear is really low so I usually start out in 2nd. The axles are both Dana 44s, with power disc brakes all the way around. Im not sure of the gear ratio but I think its 4.56 because its really low. Don't expect to drive down the highway at 75, but you could certainly drive straight up a wall! The tires are Goodyear 35x12.50 x 17 and are in amazing shape. I have a BFG spare that is around 50% tread. In the front and rear is an ARB locker with a compressor under the hood, so when you want it, its a true 4x4. I can include an air tank for you to install if you like. The Jeep has a small body lift and a 4 inch suspension lift. The Warn winch has no cable, control cord, and the motor is shot. It basically there just for mock up. The inside features 2 bucket seats with very nice covers, 4 point Simpson seat belts, locking center console, upgraded gauges and steering wheel. The heater and defroster work. No radio. The wipers have stopped working and Im not sure why. I'll try to look into it. It does have some rust in the driver floor and bed area. A new floor pan was put in the driver side but there is just a bit more rust to be removed. The rust in the bed is easy to get to and wouldn't be hard to fix. The rust doesn't actually need to be fixed. The Jeep functions just fine. The tailgate is a little tweaked. Still opens and closes. Not pictured is a spare tire, air tank, extra new wiper blades. You could drive this Jeep all over the world today without putting a dime into it. Put a little work into it and you will take a great Jeep and turn it into an awesome Jeep. There are other CJ8's not as nice as this one but for lots more money. Buy this one, put a few hours and a couple dollars into it, and resell for $15,000 or more! $500 non refundable deposit is due upon purchase and the remainder will be paid as a check or cash. If you pay by check, the Jeep will not be released until it clears. You are responsible for shipping but I will assist your shipper in any way I can, helping load, etc... An enclosed trailer may not work for transport as this Jeep is 6'9" tall and about 78" wide. Feel free to ask questions. Im sure I forgot something.
