Up for sale is my 1987 BMW 535is with 184,000 on the working odometer. The car has always been in California and I am the 3rd owner. It was my daily driver for 3 years but now I have no more space for it so it’s time for the next person to continue the project. To me, the weakest points of the car are the paint and the interior. The interior is the original leather and the exterior was resprayed sometime in the mid-2000’s. These items were never a priority so I have left them unattended. That said, this car is very presentable. It will need the upper and lower control arms refreshed soon and I noticed the left engine mount could use replacing. Like I mentioned this is a project car, but it’s a project with a lot of the hard work already done. The car runs soundly and I would trust it on an LA to San Fransisco drive any day of the week. But bring a Bentley just in case.
