Vehicle Detail
Re-Listing for a 3rd time. Please only serious bidders only. 1971 BMW R60/5. I believe it's a Euro market import but unsure. Factory low bars, euro signals and big tank. Quite a head turner and a joy to ride. I don't think the paint is original, but it was a quality job done very long time ago. Hand painted strips and a slight patina that looks great. Runs great. NJ title in hand. 35k on the clock. The bike is ready to ride. I've been taking it to work 50 miles round trip about twice a week and wouldn't hesitate to take it to Canada tomorrow. Lot's of new general maintenance parts but it's mostly original. New rubber stuff, tires, brakes, clutch cable, Browns side-stand, petcocks (have originals) fluids all recently done during my ownership. Everything is OEM BMW purchased from Max's BMW in NH. Exhaust is the aluminum replacement version done by a previous owner. No tool kit, but it does have the original tool bucket under the seat. Not much documentation on the history. I purchased it from someone in the Philly suburbs who took good care of it but didn't ride it much. It was started on a regular basis and taken to the coffee shop during his ownership for about 10 years. He bought it from the original owner in upstate NY. The bike is properly set for trips as was my original plan for the bike. Priories have changed so please take it on a nice long ride for me. Don't hesitate to ask questions. Happy to work with your shipper but be aware I live in a city with limited parking. Big trailers will not work in my area but I can meet them if it's after 6:30 or on the weekend. Happy bidding. Please note, the winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I do not have shipping contacts but recommend uShip as I've had success in the past. Bike must be picked up within 5 days of end of auction as space is limited.
