Vehicle Detail

2012 Nissan LEAF SL - Arctic White metallic w/ light & dark gray interior. Build date: 05/12. In service date: 10/14/12. 24Kwh battery w/ 6.6 KWh fast charger CHAdeMO. Some of the features include: Smart key entry (keep fob in pocket), LED headlights w/ interior height adjustment, Heated steering wheel (my personal favorite), heated seats front & rear, automatic climate control, dynamic stability control, rear view camera, Bluetooth, navigation, Homelink (for three devices) & a excellent factory stereo system! One USB port & "aux in" for iPod control. OEM Add-ons: Wheel locks. This car is a lot of EV for the money. It's a great "first EV" as it was for me. Great commuter or errand runner (lot's of free charging places too). Just two owners (Not three !). I purchased about two years ago from a Fremont, CA dealer. It was a one owner car. I bought a Tesla 9 months ago & just a few days ago I bought a FIAT 500e as my new runabout car. Gas is dead to me. I may get a Model 3 or a second gen LEAF in a couple of years. But, either way this first gen LEAF has served me well and now, it's time for parting. I have both keys, the owner's manual set, & factory Level 1 charger cord (the only one I use at home). It's in excellent condition overall. Looks like a 2015-16. Wheels are mint except for one 1/4" nick on the Left front. Garaged the two years I've owned it. Smoke & pet free home. Floor mats look new. Minor scratches on lower front left. I counted three almost un-noticeable, unless you look really hard dings (one on right rear door, one on each side rear quarter panels. Small ink stain on front passenger seat, otherwise flawless. It has about 70% of the original battery capacity (9 of 12 bars) remaining. Still under factory "battery capacity warranty" until 60,000 miles or 10/14/17. If it hits "8 bars", then you will get a brand new battery pack for free... or not. It had about 75-76% estimated when I bought it 19,000 miles ago. In a cool climate, this should provide many years of usable range, then maybe upgrade to a used 30Kwh pack from a crashed 2016 or 2017. Range varies depending on everything. I can still get about 70 miles at 80f on flat land, no head wind, at 50-55 mph, keeping the battery in the 10-90% state of charge range. In the winter, it loses about 9% for every 20f drop and more on hills with heat on. Typically expect about 50 miles at 40f. I've done a couple of common mods that enhance the driving experience: 1. LED bulbs in all places (except the turn signals). LED High beams are super bright!2. 35% tint on sides & 20% on rear - Less UV solar heat gain & privacy.3. Switched out "OEM hockey puck" scooter horn to a proper dual car horn. No maintenance was needed during my ownership. Other things that were new when I purchased or replaced later: at 30,000 - New tires (4) - Kelly GT 205/55HR-16. Estimate of 70-80% remaining.at 30,000 - New 12v battery - Nissan OEM. (Yes, there is still a lead-acid 12v; I'm not sure why... but it was replaced)at 36,079 - New tire at front left (equal in quality to the discontinued Kelly GT's) Estimate of 80-90% remaining. The car is very clean & ready to go, this is the most reliable EV currently built, I wouldn't think twice about driving it on longer trips or commuting to work. Just make sure that there are chargers available en route to your destination, if over 60 miles. Don't hesitate to e-mail me with any questions or if you need an additional photo of something. I've got a CarMax "clean trade in" offer for $5,500 (valid thru 8/21/17). They will do nothing to it & gladly flip it for $7,500. Let's avoid that. Opening bid is $5,995. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
