A gas truck. Pulling the camper was tough, it felt like I was dragging a sled everywhere I went. Let alone getting 6 mpg in my gas guzzler. No power. I wanted something different. I wanted something with power. Something mean. Something that could rip my camper around like nothing, without guzzling so much gas I'd be forced to camp close to home...I kept dragging my camper around with my weak, insignificant half ton gas truck and got passed over and over by vans. Then, it happened. I got passed by a prius...That was it. That made me feel, literally, like a little boy. My manliness was at stake. That's when it hit me...I didn't have to settle for this half ton gas trash. I could man up and invest in the greatest engine ever built, the Cummins 12 valve. Not just that, but I could grab a 1-ton dually, which pulls anything and everything like butter. I came up with a game plan. Find the best, most bulletproof 1-ton second gen Cummins I could, so I could pull my camper like a man and have a truck that'd run longer than me. I thought, worst case scenario I search and search, but never find anything. I searched. And I searched. For 4 months. And I found her. The most beautiful, mean, beastly 1-Ton 12 valve. I drove all the way to Illinois and brought her home. She's pulled my camper and car trailer with ease. She's taken me to Texas and back. She's even rescued several ppl from the ditch. I love her. But, like all love stories, there's gotta be an end. I don't want to let her go. I really don't. However, I'm getting married and will have a wife soon. Need I say more? Here's the deal...If you buy this from me. You better take DARN good care of her. Okay? Ive never taken care of anything as I have this truck. Not even myself. It absolutely kills me to sell it, but it has to go. Here's what you're getting...1997 Dodge 3500 Extended Cab, 4x4Everything works Brand new jasper transmission with 100k mile warranty, recently installed by Dodge certified techs (with receipts) $5000Rebuilt transfer case and brand new driveshaft (with receipts) $2700New front end Napa ball joints with lifetime warranty $50090 hp injectors $750Fuel plate/timing/star wheel turnt (20mpg)Glow shift gauges (egt, boost, tranny temp) $4006 good aftermarket tires (75% tread) $1,200Aftermarket intake $250Bullhorn smoke stacks $500Ranch hand front bumper $1,500Tinted cab lights $75New wheel bearings (both sides) $1,000New main seal, gaskets and repaired oil leaks (with receipts)...NO OIL LEAKS $500Recent alignment $1202 inch aluminum billet spacers on rear wheels $400Fresh oil and fuel filter changes Towing package (gooseneck, fithwheel hookup, trailer brakecontroller) $500Bad boy towing mirrors $150More I'm forgetting...Now, she has some imperfections (like any good woman). The dash is tired, I put a fitted cover over it.The passenger side rear window was broken, but I put a piece of plexi glass in there. Works just fine. Some rust under the doors. Can get some new cab corners and you're back in business.Rebuilt title. Story I was told it was in minor collision about 200k miles ago and owner chose to total it to take insurance $.Parking brake doesn't work. But it's an automatic. She is ready to roll another 250k. I put so much money into her, it's dumb to sell. But, it was the wife or her. She's like a good old rifle that just got a thorough clean and rebuild and is ready for another 20+ years of service. They don't make trucks like this anymore. You know that. $8500 cash takes it. Do the math, I'm losing my rear on this. I've got almost $15,000 into this truck.I'm possibly open to trades for GOOD stuff. No I will not take your s10 and $2500 cash. Let's be real. I'm so sickened by selling her I am having my brother do it for me (I can't watch her go). Please text him with questions or to schedule a time to see her. Take care of her
