This van sold on ebay last week and the bidder was from Germany -- no contact from him and no deposit -- doesnt answer emails so here it is relisted. This is a 1 owner van that has been sitting and will need some attention. The perfect Hipster van. Please read entire description before bidding.It is in really nice condition overall. The paint does have some oxidation but it looks great from 20' away (this is the original paint). The roof is faded and there is some lacquer cracking. Water cooled VW with AC, automatic transmission and power steering. If you have any questions please feel free to email me - I will respond quickly. 1989 VW Vanagon Carat 57K actual miles. Spent most of its life in Florida until 2003 This van WILL be sold to the highest bidder reguardless of price! Very Clean and well taken care of VW van Table folds up and seats pop out. Automatic Transmission Seats 7 Back seat lays out into a bed Power steering Cruise Control Super mint interior with original floor mats, Vanagon bra and new spare belts. Body is very straight (only slight dings here and there) - No hail damage - Minimal rust on right rear quarter panel seam—typical for these vans please see photos. The paint on the sides has a nice shine, but the top and upper areas have typical Florida oxidation (lacquer peeling) Tires are great! Now the bad—I am told the engine will need work due to it having no compression in one cylinder and low in the rest. I’m sure the fuel system will need a flush with fresh fuel due to it sitting 4 years. This van would be a great candidate for the 2.0 or vr6 conversion. The miles are actual and the van shows it. There is an alarm system that needs to be removed. This vehicle does NOT run and will need work which may include other things I’m not aware of.
