Selling this rare BMW E30 325iX Touring that we traded in on an E28 recently. Car is DIAMANTSCHWARZ METALLIC ( 181 ) with the 0270 SILBER GRAU interior. It has the legendary 4x4 wheel drive known by BMW as the X-Drive system, hence the iX badge. We export cars to the USA every month using NMT as our shipper. They will completely take care of you with all the paperwork, import duties and fees. In other words, you can show up to the dock with a copy of your shipping bill and your ID and drive home with the car just by placing your signature! (a few local fees may apply at certain ports)Shipping cost to all East side ports (Halifax, New York, Baltimore, Savannah, Norfolk or Jacksonville) and also Houston will be a total of $1800 including the paperwork, import duties, bond fees, custom clearance, etc. Car drives great, starts and runs every time. Does not leak nor overheat, does the job as it should! Engine is still pulling strong and does not make any weird sounds. Being a Swiss car it profits from the full catalyst converter system (just as US cars have) so it will meet the same EPA regulations. We are 100% confident to export this car and import it legally to any state, except for California, which may require a bit more to get it in. (we do know some other people who have successfully imported identical 325iX Tourings under the already known 325iX saloon type in CA) This car is exempt from US DOT & EPA regulations under the >25 year rule. As said before, we export these cars on a monthly basis, so we know what we are talking about. Bidding means buying, there is no reserve so get yourself a true rare Euro car for a bargain!Buyer agrees to either organize his own transportation, or go through us using NMT which is $1800 in total to all East coast ports and including Houston. Good and bad points: It is a complete car, comes with all service books and even the rear roller cover is still in place. 5 speed overdrive transmission shifts nicely and still has plenty of live left on the clutch. Brakes all work without pulling, ABS seems to work as it should. I’ve driven the car on a steep grass hill and it just drove on there like it was nothing, meaning the 4x4 system does its job! Like most Tourings, the roof liner suffers from hanging a bit in the rear, pretty easy to fix with a stapler, although not the most correct way to do it…. Doing it right will take you about a day. Most E30’s suffer from a problem with the locks, this 325iX is no different. Locks and central locking works, but the driver’s side door lock won’t lock the doors, it will however open them. Lock in the tailgate is missing, but will be included and installed before the car is sold. Paint seems original overall, could have had some touchups here and there….it’s still a 27 year old car. Small rust spots on the lower side of the fenders, nothing terrible, but it’s there. Sunroof panel has some serious rust on the left side, a regular E30 sedan panel will fit straight in. Wheel caps are missing, but can still be ordered at your BMW dealer. Radio has been replaced by an aftermarket JVC unit and will stay in the car. All glass is nice and original with the tint all around. Smiley headlights all work as do the fog lights. Tailgate has rust (as all E30 Tourings do unfortunately) but can be fixed. (if desired I can include a brand new BMW tailgate for an additional $500) The iX has a special spoilerkit which is all complete and undamaged on this car! Will I have problems registering this car in the US? A. No you will be able to register this car without any problems in any state except California Q. Can I drive the car from the port to my house? A. Yes, you will need a plate and show insurance but you are good to go. Q. Does it have the vented rear discs? A. Absolutely, it has the original factory brake system, the 325iX Touring is the only E30 with vented rear discs! Q. What if I need specific Euro only parts, how do I get them?? A. We run a shop www.E28.nl and sell on eBay under Ovide_NL and can provide any Euro part needed, we also ship worldwide. Q. The clock does not seem to work? A. Might be a fuse, I will check it and fix it before the car ships. Q. The timing belt does not have a lot of miles on it, but does have some years behind it, how much if you change that? A. If we put a new timing belt on I will charge $150 for that (which is half price of the normal labor and part charge) Q. Tires in 14" are sometimes hard to get over here, what does a new set of tires cost me? A. Depends on brand, etc. but for example a set of 195/65R14 winter tires will be approx $250 Q. Do the Euro smiley headlights all work as it should? Does it have the city lights as well? A. Yes! The car is checked and all lights work, I will also include spare bulbs as some might be Euro specific. Q. How much if I want the 4 missing center caps to go with the car? A. My price is $250, that is what I charge you (they are also available in the US btw, just so you know) Q. You mention you can add a new tailgate for $500, is this original or aftermarket? A. That is an original BMW part! Nobody makes them in aftermarket quality unfortunate (at a better price....) Q. How long does it take to get the car shipped to Baltimore? A. Baltimore takes 2 weeks, but that is when the ship sails out. Depending on availability and timetable you are looking at about 4 weeks in total. Q. Do you ship to Louisiana? A. Yes, New Orleans is one of the ports that NMT ships to. Q. If I want to order some other/spare parts, can you put them in the car when it ships? So I can save out on shipping costs? A. Absolutely! We will declare it on the shipping bill but it won't be any problem to ship some parts along. Q. Why are you selling this car on a different account? (Mr.5er vs. Ovide_NL) A. Our main account Ovide_NL (with almost 1000 positive feedbacks!) is not yet allowed to sell cars in the US. Our backup account Mr.5er was created in the US while I was there for business and this one is allowed to sell cars. eBay has its own weird rules for this. Q. Can I get you to find me the car I want? I am a fan of green and would like A/C, can you find me that car? A. Yes! We have a big network of car dealers, businesses and private people. A/C is very rare here, but some cars were ordered with it and I can find you the specific car if you let me know what engine/transmission, etc. Q. Did the Touring also came in diesel? A. it did! The 324td was a great car and actually the first car with drive-by-wire technology! The 324td Touring came in both manual and automatic and is still available if you want one, just send me an email. Q. I actually want A/C in the car, how much work is it to retrofit that? Can you do it? A. The best way is to get the parts from a donor car. And luckily every US E30 has A/C! You need to remove the center console and glovebox and change out the heater core. The condenser mounts in front of the radiator and the whole car is prepared to accept these parts. Because all parts are so common over there, I would expect it to cost no more than about $500 in parts. We don’t have the parts at this moment, so we cannot do it for you. Q.
