Up for auction is a 1962 Cadillac Coupe deville, There is 81,125 original miles on the car. This car is a survivor, it is NOT a restored vehicle. MECHANICAL: Within the last year I replaced as new: All engine gaskets,seals,belts,hoses. all new coil springs, shocks, brake shoes and hardware, brake master cylinder,. Brand new water pump, I had the air conditioning converted to R134A with the period correct compressor.Has leak. Parking brake works. New electronic ignition,(under cap,cant see it) all new fluids and tune up parts, all new heat riser and complete period exhaust system . INTERIOR: The rear leather is perfect, the rear carpet is perfect, headliner is perfect, The door cards are perfect, windows are perfect,The auto headlight dimmer works, the clock works. The rear cigarette lighters works. The trunk interior has all the correct carpeting and enclosures. Has all original jack accessories, including original spare. All the lights work, no exception. The power bench works as it should. TIRES: The tires are Cokers, there like new, great tread, no dry rot. EXTERIOR: The car is STRAIGHT, no hits,or misaligned panels. All the correct trim is present and in very good condition. All the signal lenses are in good condition and function, including cornering lights. These are the issues I am aware of with the car: The paint is ROUGH, it does NOT look as good as it does in the pics, I think it is original, and I had to sand and paint with primer in multiple spots to keep rust at bay. If you want a show car, it WILL need paint job,. I have put about 3 pints,or less, of body filler in 4 locations, right front lower quarter panel, right top front fender, rear deck area,( just surface) and small area in engine compartment. Other than that, the body is solid. Some of the rubber front chassis parts are deteriorated, there is some surface rust on various locations of the car, under doors, under runners, around trunk,etc......see pics..but no rot or rust through. Bumpers have surface deterioration and pitting,if you want a show car,you will have to RE PLATE them. The radio does not work (worked last year) . The driver side front leather seat is worn and cracked, and has a small hole in it. Driver side carpet shows some wear under mats....There is a small transmission leak from the shift shaft, needs a new seal. The dashboard has a few hairline cracks in it. The AC works, BUT HAS A LEAK,will not hold a charge for more than a couple of days. I am also including a very nice all weather car cover, a complete new brake line set, a manual, and some misc parts, no charge. The car has never seen a winter. This car sat stored indoors for many years, it was part of a local Cadillac dealers collection and bought from his estate. as such, there will be issues, all be it minor ones, Just to fix what i did, would of cost you 3 or 4 thousand.
