Hi ! Just got this today. It's a nice solid bike that has been In storage for a few years . It will need a little work to put it back on the track but worth every minute! This is a 1986 model made in 1985 and this was the most powerful cr500 ever made and if you have ever ridden one you will know and if you haven't you life will change forever so go get ya bigboypantys on ! There's a reason people that ride cr's stay with them for ever and it's like sitting on a rocket the power is endless and it keeps coming with no end . You can pull away in top gear you can pick the wheel up in any gear at any speed at any time on a stock bike and this ones had a bit of work . The owner is not with us any more so I can't tell you about the motor but the guy spent a lot of money on the bike I was told . From the out side I can see it has a FMF pipe . MSD ignition . Super stock foot pegs . New chain and sprockets. . New chain rollers and gides . New air filter . New gear lever . Russell brake line but the brake will need bleeding . And high dollar rads . And a new rear tire . This is what I can see just from the out side . So we can see the guy was not afraid of spending money. The frame is finished in a kind of Bed liner and everything on the bike is straight and in good condition. She has good spark on the plug and I gave it a squirt of easy start and she fired up but will need a good carb cleaning ! The bike comes with a clean title . Now just as a note I also have a almost new 2005 crf450 rolling frame with no motor with no hours on it as we used the motor in another project and I would sell that with the cr500 for $800 if you want it .
