THREE OWNER CAR WITH 64,000 MILESThis is a lot of car for the money!!! Serial No: 15341250 Body No: 700 29832 This 3-owner P-18 spent its first 62 years relaxing in Indiana before I bought it and brought it to Michigan in 2011. I now find it necessary to sell this car to pay for restoration costs on my other Plymouth. The second owner had it repainted the original grey in 1983. In 1996 it was reupholstered in the original sew pattern but a different fabric. The seats, arm rests, headliner, door panels have no wear! The woodgrain is exceptional! Two typical areas that needed re-graining were the front door garnish moldings. That graining has been done professionally and matches! There are photos of both door garnishes. I added a high-mount LED brake light in 2012. The new chrome on the bumpers is brilliant as it is on the other pot-metal parts. The rubber sill plates have been replaced with billet aluminum sills. The original 218 CID flathead six has a split exhaust manifold with new “Smitty” mufflers installed in 2015. Transmission is the original 3-speed and thedifferential gear is 3.54! The “Chrysler” style wire wheels and Coker tires were added in 2002. The chrome wire wheels have no nicks, rust or other damage. The tires, however, are now 15 years old and by today’s standards should be replaced. The floors and rocker panels are solid. There is one small perforation in the floor that has been patched, probably in the 1980s. I have included a photo of the area. Areas of concern: If I were keeping this car I would address an oil leak, replace all three flexible rubber brake lines, repair the radio (again), add a rear ash tray, add the stainless trim to the windshields and replace the windshield divider bar with the chrome bar.This stainless and a divider bar is included. You have noted that the last owner added several other trim items to turn this P-18 Deluxe into a Special Deluxe. Hopefully, my large clear photos will answer all your questions.
