This listing is a for 1980 LOADED T-TOP PONTIAC TRANS AM with the Y84 SPECIAL EDITION option. This vehicle has NOT been modified at all and is in very good condition despite it's age. Parts that have been changed are due to normal wear and tear over the years. This vehicle is NOT a show car, but it yard runs, drives, stops, and steers, and looks really good from 20 feet away. This is a perfect candidate for a restoration, resto-mod, or a cruise night fun car, it gets a a lot of attention from anyone who sees it. I will describe this vehicle to the best of my knowledge and ability.... I am not the original owner, therefore I don't know the entire history, and I will list what I see. OPTIONS: Y 84 special edition package T TOPS 4.9L 301 V-8 Auto trans 4 wheel disc brakes Posi rear end Power windows Power door locks Cruise control Power trunk release Rear defogger Full gauge package AM /FM radio BODY: Mostly original paint and decals, roof, hood, quarters, bumpers and deck lid show signs of an original lacquer paint, some dings, dents, scratches, stone chips etc. RF fender has been stripped and painted, a little filler and small rust repair on lower section. Right door has no rust but appears to have had some "home owner" dent repair--this is the worst panel on the car and could use a re-skin. LF fender and door appear to have been painted--no rust from what I can see. UNDERCARRIAGE: As seen in the pictures, floors, frame rails, leaf spring perches, inner / outer wheel well houses, trunk, rear bumper support are rust free and are super solid and original. INTERIOR: Original tan hobnail bucket seats showing signs of age, small crack in dash, windshield is cracked, factory clock still works and keeps time!! DRIVE TRAIN: 301 4.9L 4 BBL untouched from what I can see...starts right up, no noises, smog pump, cruise control and AC all untouched and the R12 Air conditioning actually blows cold!! Transmission has a leak from the O ring on the kick-down linkage, and appears to have a new torque converter. Rear End is Posi-4 wheel disc brakes..factory option. SUSPENSION: Stock w/ addition of air shocks in the rear. Tires oversized in the rear. RARE inflatable spare in trunk. Vehicle will need to be safety checked by a qualified technician, as with any vehicle that has been sitting for years in a garage and has not been on the road in a while. MISC: Windshield is cracked, RF window switch intermittent won't put the window up at times, oil pressure gauge reads full pressure all the time, (oil is clean and there are no engine noises) radio is INOP, wipers are INOP RECENT WORK PERFORMED: new battery, new spark plugs, new air filter, oil change Vehicle is sold with a CT BILL OF SALE ONLY, that's all that is required in CT for a vehicle of this age. Again vehicle is sold with a CT bill of sale / transfer of ownership. If you need a title for this, there are companies that legally do this and other states that will issue you a new title...all legal all legit. AGAIN CT is a NO title state for classic vehicles.
