This 1972 Honda SL70 is the nicest unrestored bike I have seen. And I have seen a lot of bikes inmy collecting days. This bike was purchased for a mans wife brand new. She drove it for 2 years on rare occasions and then suddenly passed away. He could not part with the bike, so he covered it in a blanket and stored it in his garage for many years. This was the way I got it. He had drained the gas from the tank and the carb just before putting it away. So it needed nothing but fresh gas to start. The tank is spotless inside and the bike starts on the first kick and purrs quit. The Aquarius blue paint has no scratches on it and the chrome is bright and shiny. I have not even cleaned or detailed this bike. Clutch and brakes still have full adjustment in the original cables and the trans shifts smooth. This bike is very worthy to be used as a reference bike. It still has the factory marking of paint on the bolts where they check for tightness. It even still has the part numbers on the wire harness wires. It even has the very rare front fork reinforcement bracket on it. I am not sure if this was factory of a dealer ad on. I have only seen one other bike with it on. I have taken pictures inside and outside so you can see what it looks like in both lights. This bike belongs in a serious collectors inventory or a museum. It has a few little nicks on the frame and one rub spot on the frame paint from shoes right by the rear shift arm. It still has it's original B60-6A Yuasu battery in it. It is no good, but I could not find myself to replace it. There is also one other spot that has some scuffs at the back edge of the muffler, but not dented, that could be easily painted up. But again, I did not want to touch this bike. The front tire is a Nitto and the rear is a Bridgestone. Tires show little wear and are not cracked.The grips and foot pegs show no wear. This bike is a rare find and in amazing original condition. This is a unique opportunity to find a bike like this. I am sure there are more items I have forgot.
