This is a 2008 BugE with less than 500 miles on it. It is a 48 volt electric vehicle by Blue Sky Design in Oregon. Its is a 2008 kit completed in 2011.The design goal was to create a simple, low cost personal mobility vehicle that could function in a four-season environment on city streets. I live ½ mile from work and that's what I used it for. The specs. can be seen at http://www.bugev.net/BugE_specs.htm. It has a top speed of 50 mph. It has 3 wheels, weighs 400 lbs, goes 30 miles @ 30 mph. Today I installed all brand new Optima Blue Tops that cost $780.00 (Manufacture Dated 03/17). It comes with an on board Interacter Lineage Series battery charger ($163.00). I took it off the road in 2014 because I bought another electric motorcycle. In NYS it is considered a motorcycle and the insurance for me is only $60.00 per year. I installed an SD 48-2500 heater with 20,040 BTU output for use as a defroster/heater ($270.00) for winter use. Tires have little wear. Starting to show some signs of rust. The base coat clear coat with metal flake paint was $600 over a fiberglass shell. There is a small paint chip on rear fender. I also installed a GPS Heads-up Display Speedometer ($87.00) and a nice motorcycle headlight ($250.00). I paid $5,200.00 for this item not including all the extras. Be prepared for ALOT of thumbs up and waves. Everyone loves to watch it go by.
