A 10 year old car is old. So I"m using this section to address age related issues with this car. They are moodiest and very few. If you are looking for a fun and dependable car then consider this Mini. With 48,000 miles driven, it's got another 100,000 miles of life in it. The only major service it needed was a new clutch, so I had Mini put one in. There was a issue early in it's life with the fuel injectors. They were repaired and I was told to upgrade it's fuel to a premium gasoline with an injector cleaning additive (Chevron premium with Tectroline for example). I did what they recommended and that solved the problem.I purchased 4 new run flat tires approx 36 months ago and they have a lot of tread life.The battery is 5 years old, that's about it's life expectancy. It works fine, holds a charge, is not sluggish. The lock/latch for the hatchback has failed twice. Both times, when I'm about to take it in for diagnosis/repair it works again. Its working now and has been for months.The clutch for the manual transmission began slipping last year. SF Mini did an inspection and installed a new clutch and other worn parts. My bill was about 4 grand. Now it"s perfect.I just (2 weeks ago) had the brake lines flushed and reinstalled new fluid. I don't smoke. I did take 2 small dogs in the car often. I did not have the car detailed. People with pet allergies might notice. In terms of future service estimates, the battery is probably 90% used. The 4 run flat tires were purchased together have about 60% of their lifespan left. The brake fluid was just changed and both the front and rear brakes are in good condition. The clutch for the manual transmission new, replaced by Mini last year. I did have a service problem early on (it was still under warranty) with the injectors. They fixed the problem and said I could not use cheap premium gas in the car. I was.I switched over to a top brand with a cleaning agent (Chevron premium with Techron) and the problem has never reappeared. The Mini gas milage is good but It wants expensive gas. Don't scrimp. "This car has spent most evenings housed in my garage. It shows. The paint has held up very well. 'There is 1 modest dent/scratch on the passenger door, A photo of it is included in the car photos. It is certainly the largest "ding" on the car. It is very small, not very noticeable. The car has spent its life in SF free of snow, ice, road salts. There are a few very modest marks on the front/back bumpers from parallel parking. You will be impressed by the cars exterior and interior condition. My drivers license was just suspended (seizures) and that is why I am selling my car.
