Vehicle Detail
I'm reluctantly selling my 1969 VW Baja Bug. This is a NO RESERVE auction!! High Bidder wins it! VIN: 119415814 I recently sold my property in Texas, & I'm moving everything to Georgia. But in an effort to "thin the herd" I am offering a few of my "toys" up for sale. This Baja Bug is in great condition! Runs & drives excellent! It has a rust-free body (was originally a Nevada car, with no rust that I can see anywhere, & I've looked hard to try to find any).It has a 1 piece fiberglass front clip (tilts forward for underhood access), custom camoflage paint, a custom roof rack, custom rear cage, & a custom front bumper. It has very nice glass (with what appears to be new rubber) all around. It also features an interior roll cage, bucket seats, lots of nice gauges & switches on the dash, & lots of extra off-road lights. Best of all, it has a powerful twin-carb dual-port engine with a custom performance exhaust & lots of other nice extras!Previous owner told me that it is a 1600cc engine, but this thing REALLY MOVES for a 1600cc so I assume that it has lots of upgrades! It is a dual port engine, & the visible upgrades include the twin carburetors & the performance exhaust.(Please Note: the title states that it is a 1800cc engine, but I don't know for sure so I'm listing it as a 1600cc to be conservative in my description.) EMPI performance shifter. Off road tires on Baja wheels. Tire sizes are P235/75R15 & 30x9.50R15 AND this sale also includes many bins of spare parts. Includes: 2 spare VW transmissions, several spare VW engine casings (5? most labeled w overbore sizes), several crankshafts, clutch plates, flywheel, connecting rods, used pistons & cylinder bores, brackets, etc. etc. (please see pictures for details) I'm not sure if all of the lights & guages are currently working, but since the '69 VW wiring is SO SIMPLE (maybe a dozen wires?) it should be very little effort to get everything in order. Front clip is 1-piece & tilts forward. It could use some new "DSUS" 1/4-turn quick-fasteners along the rear edge (or perhaps the addition of some rubber hold-down straps at the rear-lower corners?). This VW Baja Bug is currently located in Dublin, TX (approx 70miles SW of the Fort Worth, TX metro area). It is stored inside, protected from the elements. Please contact me if you have any questions. I pride myself on being honest & I try my very best to describe anything that I sell in great detail, including the disclosure of any known defects. I don't buy "junk", & I certainly don't sell "junk". Please check my feedback scores and you will see that all of my past buyers have been very satisfied with their purchases. ...some have even commented, "Better Than Described!". More pictures are available upon request.Thank you for your interest, & good luck bidding!! :-) This is a NO RESERVE auction!! High Bidder wins it!
