2005 Mini Cooper S - 6 speed manual - Chili Red with White top. Build date 10/04. It has the Sport package (sport suspension, sport seats, 17" wheels); Premium package (Panoramic sunroof, xenon headlights, automatic climate control, dynamic stability control ); & cold weather package (heated seats, mirrors, & headlight washers). Dealer installed "aux in" for ipod control. This car is a lot of sports car for the money. I purchased just over two years ago from the original owner. I own four cars & just don't drive this car enough to justify keeping it. It's truly a fun car. The ride is firm & it loves hairpin turns like a roller-coaster. Some enthusiast such as myself will love this car! I have most the history from the original owner: including service records, all original manuals, & both original keys. It's in good condition overall. Looks like a six year old car. The body is rust free. There are some imperfections that came with it when I purchased: minor scratches as seen in the photos and a couple of dings (all on the rear hatch or rear quarter panels - 'small garage ?'), Passenger seat is welded in upright position (does not tilt), & the driver's side door lock doesn't always open with the remote (the key always works). Things I have done to enhance the driving experience: 1. Weight reduction of about 90 lbs. - permanently removed the backseat, belts, & rear side panels to increase cargo capacity.2. 35% tint - Less UV solar heat gain.3. Changed the Intake to a freer flowing direct K & N conical filter. Also, makes the lovely supercharger sounds louder.4. One ball exhaust mod. Increases H.P. and seems to crackle & pop more on throttle lift off. 19.2 lbs lighter.5. Added rear fog light & is plugged in to cars wiring. But no dash switch to activate.6. LED taillights in clear smoke finish with nice amber turn signals. The originals were ugly & cracked.7. Aluminium fully adjustable lower links on the rear suspension. Finally able to adjust the suspension to proper zero camber (saves tires) Other things that were needed or done: at 120,000 - New interior cabin air filter.at 122,000 - OEM NGK spark plugs & both Oxygen sensors replaced (both good for 100,000 miles) at 122,000 - New tires (4) - Hankook Ventus V12 evo 205/45ZR-17. Estimate of 75% remaining.at 125,000 - New K&N engine intake filter.at 129,000 - New battery - Everstart MAXX 36/60. Also, I only use Mobil 1 synthetic with OEM filters on all of my gas cars. I will be listing locally & may end this auction early if it sells. The car is ready to go, I wouldn't think twice about driving it on longer trips.
