I purchased this 1987 BMW 325i convertible E30 over 4 years ago from the original owner's family whom had purchased this car new in 1987 and had it registered and running in N.Y. until 1995 when unfortunately, the Father of the family had passed...The family kept the car in their garage stored away until I purchased it. When I bought the car...it still had the original NYS inspection sticker from 1995 which reflected 16,428 at the time of inspection. Also the cars odometer had 16,442, which was actual mileage. The car had been sitting for many years, so the paint was faded and scratched, top was ripped, leather seats was cracked, not running, etc... First thing I had done was bring the car to my mechanic who, went completely went over the car mechanically....replaced all motor and transmission seals, adjusted valves and replaced head bolts, all brake rotors,brake pads, F&R calipers, full tune up ( plugs, wires, rotor, cap, hoses, fluids, battery, etc...) new gas tank, gas pump, fuel filter, catalytic converter, Struts, etc...Also had soft top replaced with OEM German canvas. Upgraded Headlights, front bumper & rear bumper from a 1989 donor car. Second sent the car to the autobody shop or a full restoration paint job....no cut corners, taken apart piece by piece and painted individually and put back together...which at this time all rubber seals and mouldings were replaced. During this process, new carpets were installed and seats were reupholstered in premium Vinyl that feels like leather. Final modifications that was performed was complete audio system, with remote start alarm system, and 15x8 STR rims and tires. Car runs mints...currently has a touch over 17,000 miles. I have original bottle cap rims and tires...also have rare factory hardtop...which was stripped of original vinyl and painted to match the cars paint. also was upholstered with suede headliner. A true classic and headturner. I have all receipts for work performed, and all original parts are included as well....Questions, feel free to contact me, thanks
