1984 Land Rover 109, Series III 2-door Actual VIN# SALLBCAH2AA220194 Fresh Sand paint with tan canvas roof over new black vinyl. A restored, rust-free, two-owner vehicle that has always been in excellent condition and which has been recently restored inside and out to a high standard. Bodywork is straight and free of damage, and paintwork shines beautifully. Curb appeal is outstanding, and the attention to detail is very high. This is a very clean 109, in a body style that offers a lot of flexibility in terms of its use. Interior is outstanding, with the front seats brand new "deluxe" models from Paddock Spares in England, and the rear folding benches less than two years old. There are no cracks in the dashboard or door panels, and all lights and gauges work as intended. The full canvas roof can be removed entirely, or the sides and back can be rolled up into a "bikini" configuration, allowing the best of all worlds. Weatherproof running when needed, but quick and easy conversion to open-topped operation when desired. This is one of the last of the series III models, with a date of first registration in June of 1984, nearly a year after production of the Defender 110 had begun. Its petrol engine and 4-speed gearbox work perfectly, with no smoke or clatter and extremely refined operation compared to the comparable Series diesels. Everything on this truck operates as it should, and it is in a condition that make it as enjoyable to look at as to drive. In short, this is a stunning, rust-free, and mechanically excellent 109 that has been restored to a wonderful standard.
