Vehicle Detail

This is the Type-R that you've been waiting for. It may not the top choice of the Type-r community but it is in fact an actual representation of one that has been driven, enjoyed, and has endured the testament of being on the road and not sitting in a storage unit. I do not expect this car to go for 20k but I also do believe it is a Type-R of value above what the lesser of Integra trims go for. My premise behind this ad and my decision to sell via eBay is sell this Type-R for the value that the market dictates, with some reservation in mind. Let’s face it these cars are becoming less and less available, and although mine isn't flawless, it is a well-kept automobile. I am putting forth my best effort in offering as much information as possible. I'm happy to answer any questions you have and will do so to the best of my knowledge. Thank you for checking out my auction, now onto the specifics! 2001 Acura Integra Type R Nighthawk Black Pearl Exterior Black w/Red Stitching Interior 194*** Miles 5-Speed Manual Drivetrain: The engine is completely stock aside from having the valve cover redone in the Honda wrinkle red but it is original to the car and still runs just as Honda intended breathing past the factory 8k redline. The transmission is also original to the car and shifts perfect. An OEM Honda clutch was installed in 2014 somewhere around 180k miles. Interior: The interior of the car is completely stock aside from a Spoon Sports shift knob. It is well kept but not perfect. The seats are a slightly discolored which comes with the age and standard wear that goes with a 16 year old car. Most of the wear is found in the driver’s seat. There is a small hole and stain as seen in the photos. The door panels show well but do show use. I am very particular about interiors but still see this an easy 9 out of 10. The rear seats and floor mats are almost flawless. Exterior: Following suit with the drivetrain and interior, the exterior modifications are minimal. The car’s windows have vinyl banners on both the windshield and rear window as well as VA state legal tint. The car has OEM fog lights and aftermarket LED headlight bulbs installed. It is lowered on Koni yellow struts/coilovers in the front, and Skunk 2 lowering springs in the rear. The wheels on the car are the OEM JDM 16” wheels but have been redone in a custom gunmetal powder coat finish. The tires are Nitto Neogens with less than three thousand miles on them. The car was professionally under coated in 2013 to help prevent corrosion. The paint on the car is not OEM, it was re-sprayed 6 months ago. The paint work was specific, which is detailed below. Known History: A close friend of mine bought this car in the January 2013 from the original owner, based out of Pennsylvania. Since then, the Type-R has remained in my area. Four owners, including myself, have all owned all for brief stints, equating to 5 owners total. My close friend owned the car until December 2014. It was then sold to another, mutual close friend. At the time, I was not aware that the car was available. Once the car changed hands, I immediately started to press my friend to sell the car to me. I bought the car just two short months later in February 2015 and owned it until August that year. The car was then sold to yet another close friend. I immediately had sellers remorse and ended up being able to buy the car back in March 2016. The car has changed hands multiple times in the past 4 years, but all for legitimate reasons. As much as I love this car, I’ve only been able to drive less than 2k miles this past year. With the mileage on the car, it deserves to be driven and enjoyed, not sitting in a garage. Maintenance/Paint Work/Known Issues I know of nothing that this car currently needs except a driver-side rear ABS sensor. The light comes on from time to time, sometimes staying on for a few days, and other times just for the duration of the brief drive. This is the only issue I haven’t addressed. A diagnostic scan revealed it as just the sensor, verified by a mechanic. My experience with Integras in the past tells me that it is a somewhat common issue. A nagging cosmetic issue is the window trim. It was somewhat of a bother when I first got the car, and is now more of a bother to me since the car was re-painted. My personal opinion, check out the photos to see what I am referring to. All the panels and glass in the car are OEM except for passenger fender and the hood. The fender came from PA that way with the OG owner telling my friend the fender was badly keyed, so he had it replaced. The hood is also a replacement, but is an OEM ITR hood off of another 2000 NHBP. Between my ownership period of August 2015 and March 2016, the was backed into in a parking lot. The hood took damage as well as the passenger headlight tab. Along with the hood, the headlight was replaced with used OEM parts. After the repairs, I decided to have the car repainted. Of the repairs and repaint, 5-6 dings were fixed, fading on the roof and new hood, as well as two small rust spots on the quarter panels, were all taken care of by a professional shop. This was typical Honda quarter panel rust, but on a very minor scale. I wanted to continue the restoration and preservation of the car along the lines of my friend having the undercarriage of the car undercoated. The chassis is not rust free, but there has been a good amount of work done to keep this car as nice as possible. *The car is equipped with a two-way Viper alarm system. I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot of information, but I also feel like a lot has been overstated. I’m not trying to over emphasis anything I just wanted some transparency. The car is what it is, a high mileage Integra with some baggage, but it has been cared for and will continue to offer years of enjoyment. The car in person would sell itself, I truly believe that because you can tell it has been cared for and driven. **I also wanted to state I will include in the sale an OEM set of USDM ITR wheels that have been powder-coated pink and yellow and a set of ITR spec Ground Control coilovers I bought for the car. ***Good luck to everyone interested and like I said, I’m willing to answer any and all questions you may have. I look forward to talking with the next owner of 01-1069.
