We're told this was the first Prius sold in Columbia, to Rhett Jackson (of the Happy Bookseller). He traded it in a year or two later on a newer model. Some artistic fellow who lives in a geodesic dome then bought it, and painted some nice Native American designs on the hood and sides. We bought it from him in 2006. It- still gets 45mpg- still has the original battery, which will need replacing soon.- needs new brake actuators- makes a weird clicking sound from the dashboard sometimes for a few minutes when you first start it up, usually only in cold weather Car is in Lexington, SC.
