This a one owner truck prior to me buying it 9 months ago. I purchased this with the intention of restoring it for my daughter. To make a long story short she is driving a 2016 Honda Civic instead. I have spent several months and a lot of money restoring this vehicle. The previous owner was anal about maintaining this truck and kept all his receipts for 18 years. All scheduled maintenance work was done by the local Toyota dealership here in Colorado Springs, CO. I shopped for a full year until I found the truck I wanted to restore. It had no rust and the body was in very good condition to start with. It did have damage to the right front fender from a bicycle that I decided to replace with a new front fender instead of repairing the old one. The auto body shop offered to blend the paint on the new hood and quarter panel but I decided to spend the money and had every door ding and imperfection repaired and then had a complete new professional paint job done in the original Toyota paint color. I have included a few before pictures in the listing. Carfax report should be spotless. This truck is without a doubt the cleanest 98 Tacoma you will find. Everything and anything that needed replacing was replaced. If it was worn it was replaced. This truck runs perfects and does not leak or burn a drop of oil. I noticed a slight vibration when I down shifted. I took it to a Toyota Mechanic and had the driveline completely rebuilt and the vibration is gone. New Leaf springs were installed. Oil was changed. New Air filter. It has never been off road. The gentleman that owned it since new works with computers and was not an outdoorsman. The truck was kept on pavement it's whole life and runs tight and straight down the highway. The clutch is strong. The Toyota 4 cylinder motor has a timing chain not a belt. This 4cyl Toyota is referred to as a "forever motor" because they last pretty much forever. This Tacoma is ready to go another 100,000 miles right now and should need nothing. No reserve.
